"I thought you weren't getting gifts this year." I said as Iris paused in front of a shoe store display. There was a discount going on, mainly because the shoes were used before.
She turned towards me, one foot on her bicycle pedal and the other on the floor to keep herself balanced. "How'd you know I was gonna get a gift?"
"Iris, we're friends. I know you're not into those kind of shoes, especially that red one that you were staring at." I bluntly replied, Iris' rolled her eyes and smiled at me. I smiled back and added. "Buuuut I don't blame you, that pair of dancing shoes are gorgeous. And for only six bucks? You should get them. Otherwise I'd have to take it."
Iris got off her bike and leaned it against the wall. "You're right, I should get them. I bet Lily will love them, watch my bike for me."
I saluted to her in response. "Yes ma'am."
She chuckled and went inside. I waited outside and watch as someone grabbed the red shoes from the display area. Sold. I started fiddling with the bell on my bicycle, sitting still wasn't my middle name.
Just as I was about to probably start jumping around for no reason, Iris walked out the store with a plastic bag. She hooked it onto her bike handle and hopped back onto her bike. "Alright let's head to my place now, Lily is babysitting Yumi so you can help me decorate the gift box."
"Sure." I grinned, thinking of the best way I could turn a boring decorating session to a glitter war. "Let's go."

"Ok, let's start decorating before Lily gets home." Iris said, unlocking her door with her keys. She paused for a minute. I leaned over to see what had happened.
"Yo Iris, what's the hold up?" I asked. She shook her head and chuckled nervously, putting her keys away.
"Nothing, I think Lily forgot to lock the door before she left." Iris pushed open the wooden door and entered, I followed in after her.
"Ey, Iris!" A voice said, making me jump a little. Apparently, Lily was already home. Pity, I wanted a glitter war.
"You're back early," Iris walked into the living room, "I thought you were supposed to be babysitting for the Wrights until after dinner."
"Well I was," Lily answered, her eyes glued onto her DS screen, "but Yumi was acting...weird."
I sat on the couch, next to Lily's legs and started fiddling with my jacket sleeves. "How so?"
"She was sleeping when I got there, couldn't wake her up, and when she finally did, she was waaaay quieter than usual." Lily closed her DS and began to let it rest on her chest. "So I called her parents. Atsuko cancelled class early to check on her."
"So yep. Weird Yumi. Home early. Can't beat this boss." Lily raised her DS up and stared her sister and noticed the bag Iris was carrying. "What's that?"
"It's a surprise~" Iris hummed, I giggled. Lily got up and half heartedly reached towards her sister after realizing what Iris had gotten.
"Siiiiiis, I thought we weren't getting gifts this year. I didn't get you anything." She whined. Iris laughed and stepped away from Lily, her lips curled nervously as she made an excuse. "Sorry! I couldn't resist!"
"Yeah, we just couldn't pass them up. They were just so beautiful." I sighed dreamily, a little too exaggerated.
>o<
We sat in a circle on the floor. Resting her head, Iris watched Lily unbox her birthday present. I sat crosslegged, messing with my fingers and hair. Will she like the present?
