Ah.
Where am I?
Well, of course, this was my living room. But something felt off, as if that I wasn't suppose to be here, there was a creepy feeling that made me feel like I didn't belong here at all. I sat up and held my head, it was aching. What happened before this? All I could remember was...
"WAKE ME UP, WAKE ME UP INSID-"
I picked up my phone in haste, god I need to change my ringtone. I brought it close to my ear and mumbled a quiet "Hello?"
"Where are you? Get over here now!" A familiar voice shouted. Iris? No...Lily. Was Lily always this...loud?
"Mhm, sure." I nodded, despite the fact that Lily wouldn't be able to see the nod. I kept my phone away and felt around in my pockets. I felt sweat trickled down the side of my head as I grew concerned realizing that my pocket knife wasn't on me.
I dropped to the ground, searching for my knife. No no no no no, where even--
I got up, running my hand into my messy hair. Whatever, I can...I can deal with this.
I found myself in front of Yumi's house, except it wasn't really her house. It felt different and I still couldn't recall what happened last night. I opened the door to find the twins looking rather different, at first glance, you wouldn't be able to notice the difference at all since they were twins. But as you study them more, you'd realize that Lily's soft looks were more like Iris' tough looks and vice versa.
The weirdest of all, even though I was expecting to see Yumi, I saw an unfamiliar little boy instead. He was fiddling with his gatspy cap and staring at me, he looked just as confused as I was but he kept his mouth shut about it. So it made sense that I did the same.
I couldn't piece together what was going on, who were these people? Where was Yumi and where was...
"Paris is a large threat, but we won't have to worry much about him. For now at least." A clown doll spoke, I jumped when I saw him sitting next to the small boy. I couldn't see him since I had only just entered and a wall was blocking some of my view. I took a few more steps in.
"P-Pardon?" I asked cautiously, everyone turned to me with weird looks.
"Paris. The ventriloquist dummy that my creator brought to life." The clown explained. "Unlike all the other spirits she had placed into these everyday toys and objects, Paris was possibly the only one that came out bad."
"Bad as in...?" I swallowed.
"Bad as in he wants to destroy all of our creator's creations."
I sat down, trying to piece things together. Somehow, I've been...transported into an alternate dimension where clown boy is good guy and Paris is bad guy, still doesn't explain why Yumi isn't here and why this little gatspy wearing boy became her replacement.
So, as the stupid person I was, I asked. "Where's Yumi?"
The clown tensed up and stared right at me, glaring right through my soul. "How did you...?"
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to--" I was interrupted by the small boy's quiet but really obvious throat clearing noise.
"We were just about to talk about our adventure into the sewers to save the toy soldier and half way came across the mirror!" The boy cheerfully said, saved by the kid. "Won't you join us?"
I nervously glanced at everyone and folded my arms, checking one last time in my pockets for my knife. I shrugged, I don't see why not. I was at Kay's just a moment ago, wasn't I? So how in the world did I get transported here?
