Chapter 12- Investigations

Derek's POV:

"Has anyone told her about this!?" I exclaim in frustration as I crumple the newspaper article in my hand and chuck it at the wall. Stiles' shakes his head vigorously before picking up the crumpled up paper. Scott pats me on the shoulder as he walks past me.

"Derek, we'll tell her as soon as we see her. But right now we have bigger things to worry about. The person who killed that man was trying to frame her!" Scott says as he looks up at me with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, they did a pretty damn good job of it because now the whole Beacon Hills Police Department think that Kasia killed him. And since she's their only suspect, they'll be holding her in the cell for 24 hours." Stiles says as he scratches the back of his head, sighing. I pace back and forth in the length of Stiles' bedroom and I bite my lip, thinking of a way to prove Kasia's innocence. Or maybe find the actual murderer who framed Kasia in the first place.

"What is Kasia's supposed 'motive' anyways?" Scott asks and Stiles pulls out his laptop and starts typing something. After a few minutes Stiles beckons us to take a look at the computer screen. On the screen was a police report about the murder.

Sports camera footage of suspect at supposed crime scene at time of murder

None found.

Motive:

Further Investigation Needed.

 

At 23:47 Deputy Jordan Parrish found body on the Beacon Hills High School property. Only one suspect found and further investigation is needed to find more information on suspect's motive and weapon used in the murder of Tyler Benson. No sight of the suspect or victim on the school's surveillance footage was found.

"So in other words they have literally no evidence besides that they sawher on some bad quality camera in the pitch dark?" I angrily burst out. Stiles nods but then drops his jaw at the sight of something behind me. I turn to see what he was so shocked about and I see Kasia leaning against the door frame.

"How did you even get in?" Scott asks with a frown.

"Stiles' Dad let me in."

"Now I know what you all are thinking. Oh Kasia, how did you manage to get out of a holding cell when you're the only suspect? Let's just say that words were said, things were thrown, and Stiles' Dad allowed Mr. and Mrs. Mahealani to bail me out because technically they still had custody over me even after I allegedly got killed by my kidnapper 11 years ago. Now, who else is having a terrible Monday?" she says as she storms into the room to close Stiles' laptop out of pure irritation. She raises an eyebrow at Stiles as he slowly puts his hand up. Regretting his decision, he hurriedly puts it back down.
