Jake's POV:

"Jake?" I hear his voice faintly whisper my name. "What are you doing here?" The father that I had once loved stood in front of me with that same fake grin that tricked me in the first place. That day, so many years ago when I found out he was another hunter, waiting to kill any werewolf in sight. Even if it was his own son.

"Who is he?" Derek questions with frustration masking his face.

"I'm his father." My father smiled with innocence dripping from his tone.

"No you're not!" I snap back, with a little but strong growl.

He puts his hands up as if I'm the cop, faking an apologetic look. "Jake do you realize how worried your mother and I were when you left the house?" He was trying to act like the caring father but I didn't buy it.

"Well, I wouldn't of left the house if you weren't trying to kill me! And when did you start being my Dad? Because last time I checked you hated my guts." His chuckle made my hair rise with fury and fear.

Derek steps forward. "If you don't back off, I will rip your throat out with my teeth. Okay?" Derek sounded like he was kidding but he was full on serious.

The smirk that had covered my father's face washed away and anger now masked his complexion. "I didn't come here to play ping pong with threats, I came here for one reason and one reason only." I instantly realized that he was going to pull out a shotgun. I dove for the nearest tree and the bullet hit the trunk with a loud crunch. Derek was already out of my Dad's sight. He was walking toward me but I could see that Derek was right behind him. Derek jumped onto his back in a flash and my father was flat on the ground with his gun lying far from his reach. I jumped out of my hiding spot and headed toward Derek. "He's still breathing." Derek breathes out but something makes his eyes wide. "Wait." His hand was in front of me, stopping me from moving. My dad's body started to move, and by the time I had an idea of what was going on, he was dead on the cold forest floor.

"Kasia, I know you're here." I yell out into the quiet morning woods. Footsteps slowly creeped out from behind a tree. She looked downwards while she played with her bracelet which is something she does when she's nervous. "He tried to kill you." She mumbles like a little girl. "Wait a second, you did this?" Derek comes between us as he says this. I nod quietly. "How? You weren't even near him, you couldn't have possible done this." I look down in defeat. "Usually wolves can't." I say quietly. Kasia's eyes glowed a forest green. "But the Infinite Wolf can." she said with her teeth beared at the man lying on the floor. I couldn't even remember a time that I had loved him. When I saw him lying there all I saw was a monster lying there, and the last thing on my mind was feeling sorry for the man that once was my Dad. I didn't even know if he loved me before I had changed into a wolf. The thing was, I wasn't sure if I ever knew who he was. The part that scared me most was the fact that my Dad wouldn't of come here alone. He has a pack of his own. A pack of hunters, to be more exact. And if they found out that Kasia killed him, they wouldn't just hunt wolves; they'll start hunting everyone around her. No matter what they are, human or wolf. Beacon Hills was in deep, deep trouble, and it hasn't even begun yet. The ultimate war between the wolves and the hunters has just been kindled and it wasn't just a small war. No one knew that the werewolves from across the country would join us if the Infinite Wolf was in danger.

Scott's POV:

"So what are we going to do?" I asked the rest of the people in the room. Derek paced back and forth, deep in thought. "Powers." Jake said with a huge grin on his face. "Powers?" Stiles repeated with a puzzled expression. "The Infinite Wolf's powers are stronger than you all think. If Kasia is in danger, all the wolves can sense it. No matter how far away. Which means that Kasia is the bridge that can help reach out to all the wolves from other places. If we have enough people, we can outnumber the hunters!” Jake said enthusiastically. “But that would put a whole lot of other packs in danger. We don’t know the amount of hunters they can gather and if we just use other wolves as our shields, we could get ourselves into a lot of trouble afterwards. We can’t risk the people in Beacon Hill’s lives just for a fight between human and non-human. And plus, we can’t get everyone to agree with us. We’ve already seen what happens when we try and persuade a wolf.” Derek says in a serious tone. But of course, he was right. We couldn’t just let people get killed. “Well, we need to figure out how strong Kasia’s powers are.” Stiles says but slowly backs away. I chuckle quietly. Stiles was still kind of afraid of Kasia. “One problem.” Jake said with a glow in his eyes. “I don’t have complete control over my powers.” Kasia whispered. “I’ve killed people. Hunters, to be exact. I wasn’t even near them. I put my hand up and they fall to the ground. I tap someone on the shoulder and poison pumps through them in an instant. I’m a monster guys. I’m a monster that can’t be controlled. And I’m afraid that I’ll kill someone that I care about. Just like that day when they almost killed Danny.” Her voice was shaking and tears fell down her rosy cheeks. “It’s going to be okay Kasia. We’ll go through this. Together.” Jake hugged her tightly and tears fell onto his shirt. She nodded while shaking in his arms but slowly relaxing. She was so strong, but she showed genuine fear and grief. I could tell that she was scared, scared of what she was capable of. That was when I realized that she wasn’t that different from us. She was still a fragile creature in a tough shell. She just needed the right person to crack her open. And I half expected and half knew that it was going to be Stiles. But that happens way later on.
