Kasia’s POV

Okay so my cover wasn’t completely blown, I admit. But that was yet to be discovered. Derek backed away with fear in his eyes. I knew that they wouldn’t treat me the same now that they know that I could kill absolutely anyone with the touch of my finger. Stiles, being his usual clumsy self, knocked down a few pill containers on the counters as he backed away with Scott. I sat vertically and let my eyes glow. “Relax, I won’t attack any of you. On one condition though.” They all stared at me intently while Stiles averted his gaze elsewhere. “If you guys help me beat the Canadian pack. Any questions?” Stiles raised his hand while he stared down at his shoes. “Yeah?” I question him which made him jump a little. “You- you can’t turn anyone into stone or anything right?” I let myself laugh out loud a bit. “No Stiles.” I grin at the fragile figure that was still staring a hole through his shoes. He tilts his head up slowly as I make my way toward him. I smile a real smile this time, to help him relax. “You’re not half bad, Stiles Stilinski. I think that I might not actually hate you.”

I walked out of the house and back to the house I had literally bought hours ago. The house was pretty old but it didn’t look bad, it looked more antique I would say. The chandeliers snapped to life as I clapped my hands. It lit up the whole foyer brilliantly like a ray of sunlight against a stained glass window. The fire place looked almost brand new, as if no one has ever lived here before. I imagined sitting there with a family. If I had stayed with Danny and my parents, how would my life be now? It was hard to think about, considering that I didn’t remember much of my parents. I had left the house at such an early age.

My whole life I felt like I was running away from everyone. Every werewolf that found out I was the Infinite Wolf, would run away. They were all scared of me no matter how old I was. In the old myths, they would say the Infinite Wolf could burn a whole city to pieces with one burst of anger. I had enough power to wipe out a whole pack of wolves in a split second. I snapped back to reality when I heard a door creak. “Jake.” I gasp as he walks in, out of breath. He stumbles forward and drops to the floor with a thump. I make my way towards him but I pause halfway. “You’re not Jake.” I start to back away from the now back to standing up and who looks like Jake. He cracks his neck a few times and turns to me with a grin. “Ah the mighty Infinite Wolf, your powers are very strong, now that I’ve seen for myself. And your senses are keen, if I may add.” My hands clench slowly. “No need to fear me, my little wolf. We’re all on your side.” He says simply. This time it was my turn to smile. “Oh, I'm not scared. I haven't felt fear since that day so many years ago you kidnapped me and attempted to kill me and miserably failed, Allen. ”

He smiles with his eyes filled with hatred.  “Now, let's not point fingers. At least remember the part where you killed our Alpha and that we were only trying to reason with you.” I laughed at his witty sarcasm. “Oh so now murder is called ‘reasoning’ now? Allen I think you just messed with the wrong girl.” I could easily see that he was going to try to knock me out by running toward me. I ducked before he got me and flipped him over with my left arm. He falls to the ground with a thud but he quickly gets back up. He comes at me again but this time he puts my arm behind my back. I easily get out of his grip and have him on the cold wooden floor in seconds. “You see, Allen. I’m not a little girl anymore. I’m a 17 year old girl who is remotely stronger than you, so you might as well back up and save your butt from being killed.” I smile the faintest of smiles before I give him a blow to the stomach. He clutches his stomach, doubling over in pain. “You won’t be laughing this time, Kasia. Because this time we’ll be going for your helpless brother and your little soul mate, what’s his name now? Jake?” He chuckles faintly before he falls to the ground unconscious. By morning, his body had disappeared from my living room floor.

Jake’s POV:

By the time I reached the old house in the forest, Kasia’s scent was already far off. I took a deep breath in the cold morning air. But as I sighed and turned to walk away, a deep voice fills the silent forest. “What do you want?” A grin crosses my face at the sound of his voice. “You must be Derek Hale.” He laughs at my forward remark. “And you must have accidently came to the wrong side of the border.” I roll my eyes at him. “Nice to see you again too, Derek.” I pull out a hand for him to shake. “Jake.” He shakes my hand with a too tight grip and with a forced smile. “I see you’ve met my friend Kasia already. Would you know anything about her whereabouts?” I smile kindly at him but at the same time clenching my fists at my sides. “I don’t know, why don’t you ask her brother?” I jog up the stairs until I reach the porch. “I see that you’re not exactly the friendly type anymore.” That only made him smile even more. “Things have changed Jake. It’s been years since I last saw you.” I nod in agreement. “And yet you still are the same person I saw running away from that fire.” His eyes instantly glowed but I wasn’t scared of him.

I let myself change into a half wolf until I hear a crunch of a branch. I turn instantly back to human. “Jake?” I hear his voice faintly whisper my name. “What are you doing here?” The father that I had once loved stood in front of me with that same fake grin that tricked me in the first place. That day, so many years ago when I found out he was another hunter, waiting to kill any werewolf in sight. Even if it was his own son.
