"lets go to the toy store? just for fun?"
it's hard to say no to that face — not that felix was planning on saying no anyway. he'd agree to anything that makes their date night last. the two walk hand in hand, sneakers scuffling on the damaged mat at the entrance of the toy store.
and then it begins — the goofing off, loud laughs, hiding in aisles, and anything else children would do. except felix and seri are more so two overgrown children...
"what's this? it's so cute. seri-ah, look! should i buy this for you?"
felix holds up a little white stuffed bunny with big sparkling brown eyes, his smile sparkling even more. seri turns around, her face falling.
"oh... uh, my ex got me the same one last year..."
felix's face falls faster, his hand closing tightly around the bunny before he shoves it back into the shelf with its twins.
"it's so ugly. lets go."
seri's lips curl up at his quick switch in temper, knowing he's throwing a fit over nothing.
"you just said it was cute-"
"who said 'cute' huh? not me. i'll buy you something better, cmon." felix ushers seri forward, his arm around her waist, lips in a subtle pout and eyebrows knit together.
seri laughs at the sight.
"are you sure you don't want to go back and-"
"what about this? you'd like this better, right?"
felix pulls her over to the register, grabbing a blue raspberry ring pop.
"i... i guess?"
felix isn't satisfied with that response, but he hands it to the cashier anyway, his other arm still around his girlfriend's waist.
"i'll buy you a real one later."
seri's face heats up and snaps up toward felix's but he doesn't acknowledge her. he pretends it's the most casual thing he's ever said while he fishes his money out of his pocket. still, the faint blush under his freckles gives him away — not that he has any reason to hide how he feels. he meant what he said and he's prove it soon enough.
