When I wake up I shower quickly getting dressed in a ‘rock ‘n roll’ cut off shirt with black skinny jeans, combat boots, and my leather jacket. I grab my bike and head over to Davina’s knowing that she probably isn’t to pleased with my uncle right now. When I get up to the attic I could sense my father and as soon as I get to the door I see him, “father,” it was just a whisper but he turns to look at me getting up and coming over to the door but stops, “Davina did you wake him on purpose or did you not realise removing the dagger once will bring him back?” I ask stepping into the attack.

“I didn't know, but what are you doing here?” she questions.

“I was out of town all yesterday, one of my friends died and I went to pay my respects, when I came back Nik told me that he had a run in with you and your friend Timothy almost paid dearly for being associated with you. I wanted to make sure you weren't cooking up some kind of plan to try and kill him because he will kill everyone close to you then make you suffer. You may have enough power to make him week but you can't control it. The last person I saw with this much power almost killed herself trying to take down my uncle then again she was only weekining him,” I explain to her, “I gave you my word and I took an oath to help protect you and that I would help you control your magic and I'm going to do that,” I smile at her as I sit down in one of the chairs and so does my father, “please don't let my presence stop your conversation I'm sure he would fill me in on everything that happens here when he returned home anyways,” I could see the confused look on Davina’s face, “I say when because you would eventually let him go because even though he doesn't drink directly from the vain when a vampire gets hungry enough you will be amazed at how quickly one's morals are pushed to the side. I'm afraid he won't even be able to contain his hunger, but you still have a couple days before he is desperate.”

“Elisha,” my father warns and I look at him, “you’re scaring the girl, please show some respect.”

“When I was her age, in vampire years which puts me around a century and a half, I had as much power as she did, she’s not scared of what I'm saying she is scared the power will consume her like I said it would. Not to mention don't you think I realize that you’re still hungry since all you have in your body is just a drop of her blood,” I look over at him as he takes a seat in the chair finding the violin to distract himself while Davina turns back to her art which I didn't know she is working on.

“Do you play?” my father asks.

“That’s….not mine,” Davina responds as I sense Marcel coming up the steps. I'm quick to motion my father to a hidden area when Marcel enters.

“Good news, little D. I'm moving you out this pile of dust,” since Marcel didn't notice me I put a cloaking spell on myself catching Davina’s eye but she plays it off well.

“Are you serious? When?” she says happily.

“Tonight. I just need to lock in the arrangements. How’s our original?” Marcel asks as he goes to open the casket but Davina stops him.

“Uh, don't disturb the body!” Marcel looks at her confused, “I have a spell in progress,” she lies but he believes it.

“Bet you do. Pack up, okay? Only what you wanna take. I’ll buy ya anything else you need,” Davina fakes her excitement when she says ‘okay’ before Marcel leaves the attack.

I look over to see my father standing at the corner of the wall and as soon as Marcel leaves the church I drop the clocking spell turning to Davina, “you didn't tell Marcel that he is awake,” I'm kind of surprised by this.

“We’re not done talking yet,” she answers as my father picks up the violin again.

“You and Marcel seem very close,” my father says fidgeting with the tuning knobs.
