The next morning when I wake up I notice that Hayley is gone from the little house that we slept in. I'm quick to find a pair of fresh clothes next to me and, changing quickly, I notice that there isn't a shirt but instead what I call my alpha wolf sweatshirt. It has the moon in all its phases going from left to right then a wolf head on the hood. I pull on my boots before walking out to see Hayley standing out on the little porch.
"When did you tell my dad that I was here?" I ask her.
"Last night after you went to sleep. He was blowing up your phone so I called him and explained what was happening. He brought you clothes out then left," she tells me, looking down. "He's not mad at you, he understands why you did it, he just wished you told him sooner about this."
"Yeah, I know." I look down at the ground, sighing. "Look I'm going to talk to him, but if you need anything-"
"Let you know." Hayley smiles. "I know, but it's not like you wouldn't know to begin with."
I smile at her.
"What are you waiting for? Go." She motions for me to leave.
Grabbing the keys from my pocket and heading to my bike, I make the short ride back to the compound. When I arrive, I notice that my father isn't here so I go to St Anne's Church where a member from each faction is sitting around a table. When I walk in I make sure I have my hood up but I could still see everyone even if they can't make out who I am.
"Elisha, so nice for you to join us," Genevive says.
I walk up to the table and everyone turns to look at me. I pull out a chair across from my father, at the head of the table. "Well why wouldn't I be here? This is a meeting of the factions, and as far as I'm concerned my faction was never going to be represented unless I was present."
"Who do you represent?" Diego asks.
"The wolves," Genevive tells everyone.
"The wolves have no place here," one of the humans say.
"The wolves have every right to be here," I argue. "The wolves lived in this city in peaceful harmony with the vampires and witches and they will once again. If you beleive that the wolves have no place here you are the one that has no place here. Long ago, before New Orleans became a witch town, it was a wolf settlement. The wolves have been shit on and pushed out since the witches decided to take over the town." I pull down my hood so they can see how serious I am. "And if any of you think for a second that I will let you get away with keeping my people banished, you are wrong."
"Elisha," Father K says. "St. Anne's has long been neutral ground in our city. So, it's only fitting that we gather in this chamber at the behest of Elijah Mikaelson to bring harmony to this place we call home. Thank you all for coming."
"Yes, thank you for coming, and welcome," my father says, holding up a document. "These are the rules of the city according to Marcel Gerard." There is a slight wind then the doc becomes immersed in flames and I'm taken aback about this as I feel Genevieve's eyes on me. Once the flames died out my father continues, "Which, of course, no longer apply, because I'm in charge."
I give him a look, asking if he is gonna stop there.
"Along with my daughter." He motions over to me.
I smirk like that rich kid that gets everything they want that you want to just knock out.
"You said that if we came along, that we would get to run things by ourselves. Never mentioned anything about making yourself king. Like I don't have a problem with Elisha, all of us vampires are used to her as our Queen, but you, you never said that you were going to be King."
