7. Taking Our Home Back/New Ruler

I'm sitting in the abattoir with my guys around me hidden slightly from Tyler as Marcel walks in, "all right, I'm here. Let's do this. I'll keep this simple. This kid is an old enemy of your favorite person Klaus. And he's got plenty to say about what that traitor son-of-a-bitch has been up to behind my back. Now, for those of you faint of heart, there's the door. Because those who stick around, you're signing up for battle," my guys look at me but I ignore them getting up making myself noticed.

"What the hell is she doing here?" Tyler growls taking a couple steps towards me.

"I can ask you the same thing because last time I checked you are the one who kidnaped the girl to test some theory which I'm guessing has something to do with what Marcel said about what Nik is doing behind his back. Just so you know that stunt you pulled will get you killed if not by Nik's hand then by my own," he looks a little worried by this and I smile, "but you don't have to worry about that if this plan doesn't go to complete shit and you are actually able to subdue my uncle," I could tell that he is going to move on with this since Marcel doesn't have much time and neither does he so I start his little story for him, "my uncle is known as the original hybrid, but he was simply just an original up to about a year and a half, almost two years, ago when he broke the cures that I put on him," everyone is shocked at this, Tyler included, but he quickly bounces back and goes on with what he wants to say.

"Certain parts were now able to trump his vampire side. Like the ability to pass on the werewolf gene. That's where the werewolf girl he's been hiding from you all comes in. She rode through my town, pretended to be my friend, and then end up hooking up with him. Now, she's pregnant with his kid."

"What the hell is this?" Diego questions.

"Just listen," Marcel tells his right-hand man.

"When Klaus became the hybrid, he figured out a way to turn full-bred werewolves into creatures like him," I look over at Tyler, "right here we have the first and the last of his sire line of hybrids. Plus side of being a hybrid is that they had all the perks of being a vampire. They were stronger, faster, and the toxins in their bite could still kill a vampire. The downside though is that they were loyal to him."

"Like, supernaturally loyal," Tyler adds.

"Right, and that's why you're here, spilling all his secrets?" Diego says targeted more towards Tyler then me.

"That's the point, Diego. He figured out a way to break free of it," I say glancing over at the vampire before looking back at Tyler which I could tell is about to say something about my own sire line but with one look he stops, "he also helped the others sired to my uncle break the bond and as a result he killed them all. He would have killed Tyler here also, but he ran away like the scared little puppy he is, especially when it comes to my uncle."

I could see Tyler looking past me as I sense Rebekah walking in, "because that's what Klaus does, scares people into submission or forces their hand," I turn around and smile at my aunt which gives me a half-hearted smile, "don't mind me, I'm fascinated by this story. Hello, Tyler."

"Rebekah. Long time no see," the wolf states.

"What Tyler or my niece was about to tell you is that my brother can use his baby's blood to sire more hybrids. What you will all figure out is that vampires don't stand a chance. So, Tyler, I assume you were trying to rally this lot into making sure the baby isn't born," I turn to look at Tyler to see his reaction which is simply a straight face.

"Yeah. You don't like it? Go on and take your brother's side, Elisha probably will and tell him everything when she leaves," I'm quick to move over to the wolf after he says this pinning him to a wall.
