Chapter 2

Rin's P.O.V.

Itachi and I had returned back at the hide out and Leader was not happy, with the Death of Sasori,

kisame was very sour about losing his battle against Gai.. I was slightly surprised kisame had lost, I knew gai was strong but to defeat Kisame was something I didn't see him doing.

"tch I should've just killed his little Chunin" Kisame tells me as we eat dinner together.

"hmmm" is all I answer

"get back at him next time, you weren't at your best, after the extraction" I tell him sighing seeing he wasn't fully happy with my first answer.

"Stop trying to make him feel better, he's just weak" Konan says entering the room.

"mission Rin, solo. come to the office in an hour" she tells and walks away.

I get up and go to my room, sitting at the desk to think.

I had helped kill Gaara, everyone knew by now.

'what does Naruto think? how will Shika take the news, what about Genko? I killed his step brother' I thought.

"rin..." itachis voice says loudly

"yea?' I answer looking at him

he sighs and walks up to me bending down and wiping tears I hadn't felt.

"You have a mission, we can talk after" he tells me

"hai, I'll see you after" I answer getting up and ready.

I head to Leaders office to retrieve my mission, it was odd most missions were given by konan.

knocking and opening the door when he told me to enter.

"Leader-sama" I say bowing my head

I hate him, I hate him so much...

"I'm sending you on a solo mission, no one must know what you are doing" leader tells me sternly

"hai Leader-sama" I answer wondering what he was for me

as he talks my eyes turn to a glare.

"you understand" he asks

"hai, I will have it done" I tell him

"Good, I put my trust in you, you have proven yourself. after letting us take the life of the one tail host someone you considered as a younger brother" he says

I stop myself from clenching my teeth and hands and listen carefully.

"I thought at first you weren't loyal but you have shown just how loyal you are for peace, now leave" he tells me

"hai, thank you for placing your trust in me" I say before leaving and going back to my room to gather all my things, Leader had told me to make up a story as to why I'd be gone for along time.

"why are you gathering your things?" itachi asks

"Konan is sending me on a very long mission, I am to track someones movements until told other wise" I answer making sure I seem truthful

"who?" he asks

"Classified" I tell him and glance to the door

and he realizes someone is listening in

"ok, be safe" he tells me

I look at him and smile,

"come here" he says smiling back

I walk up to him and we kiss, not long but enough to make me feel so happy

"I love you" he says as we break apart
