Chapter 19

Itachi's P.O.V.

as I carried rin I began to worry, no one was following us at all

"looks like no one really cares for her huh" kisame says giving his dark chuckle

I keep my face blank and continue to just follow him.

he stops and turns around " so I guess Leader didn't tell you what were using her for right?" kisame asks me

"no he didn't" I tell him

he laughs and looks at rin whos still passed out in my arms

"well he wants her to use her as a host...." kisame tells me

my eyes widen a fraction and look to see if he was joking but it seemed to seem he was being truthfully.

"anyways lets get going" kisame tells me

we continue on our way, I was now scared for her. why wasn't anyone coming for her.

not even Kakashi, or her brothers. and what about Naruto? he should've been here by now despite how bad he looked I was sure he push past and come chasing after

I had taken rin out of the Genjutsu a long whiles ago and told her my plan, but it seemed it would be different now since no one was coming.

30 minutes had passed and I gave her arm a squeeze

she immediately jumped up and cut my cloak, catching kisame's attention

"what how!?!?!" kisame asks annoyed

"tch im not some weak little girl" she says as she flings kunai at us

"get her itachi" I go behind her and flash my eyes but I capture kisame instead

he falls to the ground, leaving rin and I up and well

"get going" I tell her

"idiot, I have to make it look like I hurt you, or else it would be to obvious" she tells me

I sigh and nod letting her attack me, it didn't hurt all that much but I knew it would look worse

panting I ben down onto one knee and nod to her

she kisses my cheek and leaves going somewhere safe

I sit down and wait for Kisame to wake

"arghhh" I hear kisame groan after a few minutes

he sits up and looks around until he spots me

"what happened?" he asks as he stands

"the hell happened to you!" he asks

"she escaped my genjutsu.... and attacked, when I tried to get her under again you got in my way and went under. I tried to stop her but she got away" I tell him

"beat you up fairly badly huh" kisame chuckles

"hn" I say as I stand

I see kisame watch me, studying every move of mine

"we need to report to leader" I tell him

I see how his legs are wobbly

we head out, not speaking. both knowing that leader will be mad

Rin's P.O.V.

I was hurt when I sensed no one was coming for me.

but I chose to get to a near by place to hide for now, Itachi had told that Hidan and Kakazu were on a mission near by so I had to be carefully.

I knew Shika had no idea but I was glad, if he had he would ve been here by now.

i was looking to see where i was and i knew i was near the Fire temple, not close but close enough i could get there quickly. would be a good place to hide i suppose

i change direction and head there to hide for a day

knowing it was hard to sneak in I planned carefully, a way in and out

made sure there would be no way to get caught but when i arrived the temple was in shambles

destroyed completely, using that blonde haired girl as my disguise i went and asked a monk what happened

"the Akatsuki... i apologize if someone you love is here, you may go and search" an old monk tells me

"thank you" i nod and walk past him

i already knew no one i knew would be here, and i was safe from the Akatsuki

"Master!" i hear a voice shout

i turn and look 'isn't that sora?' i think as i look at the limping teen

"Sora what happened to you!?!" the monk asked sora

"we can discuss me later, but please tell me what happened

"the Akatsuki came here and killed everyone searching for... for you... the leaf sent a team, you may know of Asuma one of th..." the monk starts

:yes i know who he is! where is he?{" sora questions

'if asuma came then that must mean this was shika's mission'

i listen closely "they went to go and track down the Akatsuki, im not sure where to but they believe that " i stop listening and race away going to search for Shika and his team

i know Kakazu would most likely take whatever that guys name is one of monks to collect the reward.

so i head in the direction of one of the collection offices i knew of

when i get there i see a huge explosion coming from infront of the place

i spot Kakazu standing there with an annoyed face watching

i presume hidan was inside the blast

spotting shika and two others i remember from the village, i watch and try to think of a plan.

'i cant go out and fight... they'd know it was me from how i move and my jutsus' i think

i watch as the explosion clears and see hidan has asuma in his ritual

'this is bad' i sigh and know I'll have to reveal myself.

i see shika wrap his hand around his necklace, feeling the ring warm a little i let him know where i am.

he glances over and snaps back as asuma goes in for an attack but only to be stopped after hidan stabs himself.

i could tell shika was concerned but i couldn't come out yet, not until i was sure i could help, i knew if i jumped in hidan would kill asuma right there

shika uses shadow strangle on hidan saving asuma

hidan fights back, he slowly begins failing

'i think its good to let shika handle this... i cant go and recuse him all the time. its time to let him grow... but of course id be here waiting'

i watch as shika succeeds, proud of him and i watch as asuma goes to 'kill' hidan

A/N

it is time Rin starts to take care of herself more rather than jumping in to protect everyone she cares for all the time
