Rin's P.O.V

after Itachi left I raced to the office, my lunch break had been way to long and I knew there was a stack of missions that needed to be assigned

"hey gaara so sorry that I took so long" I said as I entered

"its alright, do you think you could go on a mission? we don't have any available ninja for the mission, its S-rank" he asks me

"oh um, I actually retired" I tell gaara

"just this once please" Gaara asked

"fine, what is it, where is it and when" I sigh giving in

"The mission assignment office will tell you, thank you. I'll treat you to dinner when you get back" Gaara tells me

I nod and leave heading for the office on the floor below us

"Hey, Kireana for the S-rank" I say to the lady at the desk

"ah yes, let me go and get Geru-san" the lady says before standing and going through a door behind

she and another man walk back out

"ah yes, lord Kazekage said you would most likely take the mission, I am Gerun. the mission was sent by the leaf. the requested back up for a mission locating and attacking orochimaru's hideout." gerun tells me

"when is it?" I ask

"they started searching a few hours ago, so its already begun but im sure they would still like some assistance" Gerun tells me

I nod "alright, where is it. I'll leave right away" I answer

"well first, I think you'll need this and this" Gerun says as he pulls out a sand headband and a mask to cover my face
"wouldn't want someone to mistaken you for a rogue nin" gerun jokes

"alright, am I the only one going?" I ask

"No, we would've sent you solo but we have a new Jounin in our ranks, Lord kazekage didn't want to send him alone. You two will be partners for this mission and possible future ones." Gerun tells me

I nod "well just fill him in, I have to go and get ready. he can tell me everything I need to know" I tell gerun

he nods and allows me to leave

'alright first stop the weapon shop, then scrolls and clothing' I think as I quickly pack some things into my small pouch

time skip 1 hour

waiting at the front for my partner I talk to the guards, I couldn't remember their names but they had been here when I first arrived.

"are you Kireana?" a guys voice speaks quietly from behind me

"yes I am, you are my partner?" I ask

"Hai, I am Koira Pomen" he tells me

"alright then, I'll see you when we get back" I say as Koira and I begin jogging

"so fill me in" I tell him

I see him nod and he pulls out a scroll "you haven't read it yet?" I ask

"ah no... I didn't think I was going to go so I hadn't been prepared" he tells me

I sigh and hold my hand out, he hands me the scroll

"alright, the people we are meeting Kakashi Hatake, Kiba Inuzuka, Shino Amburame, Hinata Huyga they are already near the location so we have to rush ourselves, so please keep up with me. I will lead the way"i tell him
