Chapter 3

Rin's P.O.V.

now in the sound in the leaf village. I walk around in disguise trying to gather information on Orochimaru.

"Did you hear that orochimaru is taking more test subjects" I hear hushed voices

I stop and hide behind a corner listening in

"yea he's taking all the travelers coming through" the other guy says

after that they start talking about other things so I leave and go to a little tea shop to eat.

ordering dango and tea, I sit there and wait, still listening to anything but not hearing anything.

"here you go miss" the waitress says as she places my order down

"thank you" I say with a very high pitched voice

she grimaces and nods walking away I eat slowly and finish the tea quickly.

leaving the money on the table I leave and go back to my hotel.

opening the door I walk in and go to the desk, sitting down and reading the letter sent by Konan.

I burn it and open the drawer and look through my things.

looking at the scroll I had never actually opened from the 3rd hokage.

I pull it out and open it. I begin reading it and I gasp

'this letter is in recognition of Rinmaru Nara's sacrifice.

she was sent on a S-rank mission to go undercover with the group Akatsui, this letter is to give her freedom and allow her to join the leaf once again.

there is one witness that has the official letter, Kakashi Hatake.'

was all it said.

my eyes open and i smile widely

"thank you Sarutobi" i say quietly

feeling a sudden pull from Shikamaru, i jump up and gather my things, leaving quickly.

i head to the leaf the village where Shikamaru is.

I get there very fast, and i spot Shikamaru laying on the ground just outside the leaf.

"Shika!" i say as i land down

he opens his eyes and stares at me

"Onee-chan" narutos voice speaks from the bushes

i sigh

"you told him didn't you" i ask

"hai, it was actually Kakashi" Shika tells me

i sigh again before Naruto barrels into

"why did you do it!" he asks as he sobs into me

"im sorry Naruto" i say softly as i run my fingers through his hair

"why aren't you at his funeral?' i ask

"you haven't heard?" Shikamaru asks

"what?" i ask

"Gaara is alive" Naruto tells me still hugging me

i gasp and feel tears of relief come down my face

"that's amazing.." i tell them

"Naruto, you must not tell anyone. under any circumstance." i tell him sternly as he looks up at me

"hai Onee-chan, i promise" he tells me

"good" i say nodding

i look at shikamaru and watch as he also comes and hugs me

"i missed you" he says

"ive missed you too" i say

we sit down and talk for a few hours

"ok i have to leave, you two be good" i sat standing up

"are you ever going to come back to the village?' Naruto asks

"im not sure Naruto" i tell him truthfully with a sigh

"i want you guys to hold onto my things for me, im going a mission" i tell them

i hand them my things, all my pictures and other things

"this scroll?" shikamaru asks

"give it to Kakashi" i tell him

"alright i will" shikamaru tells me

i give them each one last hug before leaving back to the sound.

"ne one-chan can we meet again?" Naruto asks

"sure, but i cant be anywhere to close to the village again" i tell them

"Ill be at Tenchi bridge in a few days" Naruto tells me

"ok. I'll meet you there than" i tell him

we hug again and i leave going back to the sound, and under disguise again.

once back in the sound, i gather more intel. nothing very interesting but enough to help me figure out where he could be.

i go back to the hotel and sleep, waiting for the day i can see Naruto at the Tenchi bridge
