I Didn't Mean To Like You

The Last Community Service(Time Jump)

JUGHEAD POV

Betty and I spent everyday together for 3 weeks together and spent as much time as we could with, Anna. I decided that I was going to help work at my mom's car business over the summer. Betty and I would spend lots of time together too. Today, it's May and it's my last Community Service. The 2 other delinquents and I stood in a line while the volunteers surrounded us.

"You guys have been well for the past, 2 months. You're all free to go home and I hope you guys make better choices in the future. Especially you, Forsythe Pendleton! Don't go around painting anymore walls." Henry smiled. We all laughed and then Betty came up to me.

"Forsythe Pendleton, I'm very proud of you. You got rid of the toxic friends, the bad attitude...and now have once a bullying victim of yours into your happiness." Henry said. I nodded and we were all free to go. I got on my motorcycle and Betty got on the back.

"Where to, Ms. Cooper?" I asked.

"Anywhere but here. Take me somewhere I've never been before."

"That's can be arranged." I smirked. She smiled and I rode to the city. We spent the rest of day shopping and doing fun things together...until it was night time and we sat on the bridge with a bucket of popcorn.

"No! All I'm saying is that Will Newman seemed like a suck up!" I laughed.

"He was not! He was absolutely adorable and you can't tell me otherwise." Betty giggled. We looked out into the stars and then Betty looked at me.

"So Jughead...you can only have one wish, what is it?"

"I wish...to spend my life taking risks having good outcomes. What about you?"

"To become a doctor but have a beautiful family. I've always wanted to be someone's wife and someone's mother. I just want to be very happy."

"I want the same for you too." I said.

"Hey Jug, do you want to head back? It's 8:30PM already."

"I wanna stay, it's so peaceful. Will you stay with me?"

"Yes." Betty smiled. We finished up our popcorn and talked. We then went back into the city and saw a firework show. We approached it and watched the fireworks and everyone having a good time. She was happy and it was exciting to see her face. We had to go back to life though and I took her home.

"I had a wonderful time, Jughead. I'll see you tomorrow?" Betty asked. I nodded and we kissed goodnight. She was walking up to her front door...but I had to say what was on my mind.

"Betty!" I yelled. She turned around and I sighed.

"I love you." I said bluntly. We sat there for a minute just looking at each other. Then she smiled and giggled. She ran at me with full force and knocked us over in the grass of her front yard. We sat up and she was smiling at me.

"I love you too." She smiled. We both smiled and had a beautiful moment...and then her mother ruined it.

"Elizabeth Marie Cooper! You get in here right now! Snake Cad, go away!" Ms. Cooper yelled and then grabbed Betty. They went into the house.

"Betty, you're so hot!" I screamed. Her mother than came out with a shotgun and then I panicked and got on my bike. I rode home and sat on the couch with my mom and Jellybean.

"Why are you all happy? Finally found your brain?" Jellybean joked.

"I told Betty I loved her." I smiled. My mom and Jellybean gasped.

"And What did she say?!"

"She told me that she loved me back."

"Oh my gosh! The tea has spilt sisters!" Jellybean exclaimed.

"And then her mother came at me with a shotgun...but it was so worth it." I said. We all laughed and I was beyond happy.
