Chapter Six

Taehyung's POV:

I was walking back to my room, finally having healed enough to leave the training chamber after training with Eabae. She and Appa were having some kind of meeting with someone who had showed up, I didn't even know who he was. I only knew because I could hear them as I was walking past the chamber they were speaking in. It was when I heard part of their conversation that I stopped dead in my tracks, not making a sound.

"So, you've successfully killed Park Chin-Hae's family as he'd requested as his part of the deal?" Appa asked the man he was with.

"Yes, Sir," he replied. "Park Mi-Cha and Park Hyun-Ki were both killed after Park Chin-Hae was taken into custody and his son, Park Jimin, left the house. Though they killed a few of my men before we were able to take them down."

"You mean Jeon Mi-Cha," Appa said. "Chin-Hae's wife was the younger sister to Jeon Mal-Chin, the former pack leader. Nobody really discussed it since she had an indiscretion with someone her father hated when she was a teenager. The pack even made her change her family name to her mother's, so she wouldn't be associated with the pack leadership's family any longer. But she was actually related to Mal-Chin. They were once as close as the current generation... Park Jimin and Jeon Jungkook, only the current generation are unaware that they are even cousins. Park Chin-Hae and knew it, though. He's always hated the Jeon family. It's why he married Mi-Cha. He figured once they were all dead one of his sons would be the rightful heir to become the new pack leader. After all, only his sons would have the blood of the Jeon family running in their veins once all Mal-Chin, his wife, and their children were dead."

I'd heard enough. I rushed to my room as fast as I could. As soon as I closed the door, my cell phone started ringing. It was Jin. Part of me didn't want to answer it. I didn't want the wolves to know I was hurt, but something said I needed to answer it, so I did.

"Hey, Jin," I said, trying not to be loud enough for anyone to hear. "Is everything okay?"

"Not really, Tae," he said, sounding serious. "There was a vampire attack in the middle of the pack residences a little while ago."

"How bad?" I asked, not wanting to believe what I heard was true.

"Jimin's mother and older brother were killed," he replied and I cursed internally.

"By any chance were their names Mi-Cha and Hyun-Ki?" I asked.

"How did you know?" Jin asked, surprised.

"I just overheard something when I was walking back to my room, Jin. I can't talk about it while I'm still at home. If anyone overhears me, they'll kill me," I told him.

"That's fine, Tae," he said, surprising me this time. "Hobi asked me to call you, Yoongi, and Namjoon to ask you to meet him and two others where you usually hang out in pack territory as soon as you can. He's bringing you in to help us. Jungkook agreed. You're being escorted into the territory so none of the other wolves touch you. Hobi is pissed and he's not playing any games with anyone today."

"What do you mean, Jin?" I asked him.

"He's been in the weapons room. He's packing silver," Jin said, somberly.

Hobi? Carrying deadly weapons to use against his pack? Our little sunshine? It was hard to believe.

"Have you talked to Yoongi and Namjoon yet?" I asked him.
