Chapter Two

Soo Min's POV:

I was training with Eabae and Appa like I did every day. Tae was at school. As far as I could remember I had never been to school before. Appa had me do my studies at home. He never let me leave the house. I just trained with him and Eabae every day to make my magic stronger.

Today was no different. My sadistic sister was trying everything she could with her magic to hurt me, but depending on the day, I hurt her as badly as she hurt me. The main difference between the two of us was that I wouldn't cross certain lines. Like I wouldn't intentionally injure somebody who posed no threat to me. Both Eabae and my father had no problem crossing that line if it meant they could get something they wanted.

At this point in training, Eabae and I had been going pretty much blow for blow. Neither of us had taken a clear advantage of the other. Suddenly, I felt pain shooting through my entire body as I dropped onto all fours. Looking at my sister and her sadistic smile, I knew what she was doing... she was forcing me into my wolf form.

"You bitch!" I yelled at her, before I fully changed.

Typically at this point, Eabae gained the upper hand because I was reduced to only physical attacks as a wolf where she still had her physical and magic attacks to use against me. However, something was different this time. When Eabae went to attack me, I hit my left front paw on the floor, and fire started to spread in the training room. I knew I had done it somehow. Within seconds of me realizing I had done it, Appa and Eabae realized it too. Eabae got to me and broke my left front paw.

I was injured, but I wasn't done with the fight. I jumped on her, knocking her onto her back. She tried to throw a spell at me, which I dodged out of the way of, clawing her with my right front claw. When I got a distance away from her, I stood up on my hind quarters before coming down on my front paws, ignoring the pain in my left side. As I came down, Eabae doubled over on the other side of the room, throwing up blood. Every time she tried to stop she threw up more blood.

"Soo Min, change back to your human form right now!" Appa demanded of me.

I did as he asked, already hurt and not willing to take any risks to pissing him off at the moment.

"Reverse what you did," he said to me.

"No," I said to him calmly, changing my mind, knowing he wouldn't make her heal my arm. "I'm not going to fix her unless she fixes my arm."

I looked him in the eyes defiantly. I was an alpha wolf. Whether Appa liked it or not, I was a dominant personality and I wouldn't just bow to his demands whenever it suited him. When he realized that I wasn't going to back down, he sliced my back, the lower left side of it, where it would be basically impossible for me to take care it on my own, with a silver blade. He must have figured I'd be in so much pain I'd cave and beg him to have Eabae care for me. I refused to show any pain. He back handed me for my refusal to stand down.

"One of these days, Soo Min... one of these days, you'll learn," he said to me.

He took Eabae and ran off to her room, which was far from where mine and Tae's rooms where. Even with the pain I was in, I slowly made my way to my room, trying my best to take care of myself before Tae got home from school. I used some of my magic to set the bones in my left arm. That action alone left me a little dizzy, so I couldn't do any more than that. I found some material and fashioned a sling for my arm out of it, so I wouldn't hurt myself worse. Tae came home before I had been able to stop the bleeding in my back.
