Chapter Seven

Namjoon's POV:

I got home and I could feel the tension. Suddenly, I was glad that Yoongi and I didn't go straight home after we left Tae. Instead we had gone to feed before he dropped me off and went home. When I closed the front doors behind me, I felt my father in the foyer behind me. I closed my thoughts to everyone.

"Namjoon," Appa said to me before I turned to face him. "Where have you been since early yesterday?"

Being careful not to do anything he would deem disrespectful or suspicious, I turned around to face him.

"I went out to feed, Appa," I replied.

"For all this time?" he asked, trying to enter my mind, so I let him, focusing solely on the girl I had been with.

"I was hungry and the blood bags weren't satisfying it lately," I told him.

He looked into my eyes for a few more minutes.

"It's about time that you realized that as an adult vampire you are not meant to live on stale blood, Namjoon," Appa replied to me, seemingly satisfied with my thoughts and answer. "Where are your friends Min Yoongi and Kim Taehyung?"

"I haven't seen them in a while, Appa. Kim Taehyung still resists feeding on the living," I told him, since everyone in the clan knew it was the truth. "As for Min Yoongi, we split up when we started hunting."

"Good," Appa said, almost satisfied with the answer, as if it meant something important that I couldn't understand. "I'm glad you weren't with them. Go to your room. Wash up and rest now."

"Yes, Appa," I replied to him, walking away to my room.

When I got to my room, I checked my phone. Neither Yoongi nor Tae had contacted me to let me know they had gotten home. I changed my contact information for Jungkook, Jimin, Hoseok, and Seokjin. Calling them Kookie, Chim Chim, Hope, and Eomma J in my phone, so if anyone in the clan, especially Appa, got hold of my phone, they wouldn't know who they were. Then I started a group chat with them.

Namjoon: I can't meet you guys later today. I'm sorry.

A few minutes later, They started replying.

Kookie: Why?

Hope: Is something wrong?

Chim Chim: What's going on?

Hope: Are you safe?

Namjoon: I don't know what's going on. I just got home. I haven't heard from Yoongi or Tae. Tae split from me and Yoongi after we got to our car. Yoongi left me at home, but I should've heard from him by now. Appa said he was glad to hear I wasn't with them when he found out I was coming home from feeding.

Kookie: You think they're missing?

Chim Chim: Would your clan hurt them?

Namjoon: Without thinking if they thought any of us betrayed them.

Chim Chim: No! They have to be alright!

Hope: We'll find them. I promise.

Namjoon: No. For right now, deal with your issue. I'm sorry I can't help right now. If I start disappearing, the clan will become suspicious. I'll do my best to find them without it becoming too suspicious. When I can, I'll help you. The four of you have enough on your plate.

Kookie: More than you know...

Namjoon: What happened?

There were no answers for a few minutes. Hobie and Jimin left the chat.
