EMILY WAS CONFIDENT IN her skills. She was always a smart child, that's one thing she hated, she was incredibly smart. She still decided to study. She just had to refresh her memories, with the help of her friends. She went to the library as well. She studied at school, at the library, and at home.

"Yuri. Damn!" Emily yelled closing her notes.

"I'm going to the store." Emily yelled. She wore an over sized hoodie with shorts walking to the convenience store.

"Welcome." She heard Daniels familiar voice say.

"Hey." Emily said jumping over the counter.

"What are you doing here? I thought you quit?" Daniel whispered. she ended up quitting after the incident that had happened.

"I did quit. I just want to keep you company." Emily smiled leaning on the counter. The tension grew stronger but she decided to ignore and continue looking at her phone.

"Hey..Could you please just go?" Daniel murmured.

"You want me to go?" Emily questioned a pang of hurt in her voice.

"No I mean.. Yeah!" Daniel replied. "What if something bad happens again?"

"I'll be fine. Wait what are you doing?" Emily questioned looking at all his notebooks.
"Oh! You're studying?"

"How do you attend school if you work all night?" Emily questioned catching him off guard.

"Ah.. In prepping for the GED!" He nervously said, Emily giggled nodding.

"Actually! I'll come here around the same time as today to tutor you." Emily suggested a small tint growing on her cheeks.

"What? You don't trust me? I'm top ranked in all my classes." Emily said making a shocked Daniel even more shocked. "You suck at math right? I'll come by everyday for 2-3 hours!"

"You can pay me in Rice rolls!"

"Dan. Jesus Christ. I said this formula is wrong." Emily scolded him. Instead he kept his eyes locked on her cleavage. After hours of trying to teach him it was her time to leave.

"Memorize the formula okay? See you tommorow Dandan." Emily smiled waving.

"Okay..."

"Eyes on your paper. If you finish, review your work. No sleeping." Once instructed what to do by the teacher Emily was off. She was surprised how easy the questions were.

Second day of testing started with math. She scratched her head answering the questions with ease.

Then Daniel turned around catching her off guard.

"Hey Emily. I'm gonna sleep so could you wake me up in five minutes. If I dont wake up, shake harder." He instructed her as she nodded.

"You got it captain." She saluted.

"Ok quiet. The top student for midterms is, wait! It's a tie!" People whispered with the others. How can there be a tie?
"Emily Kim and Daniel Park."

Her eyes opened in shock, she was first?

"Holy smokes Daniel."

"They're smart too."

"She's beautiful and smart."

"Transferred and stole the first place right away."

Emily smiled and she couldn't wait to tell Yuri or her parents.

"Hey look is the class rep crying?!"

"What a loser."

"He slid down now he's bawling? Geez."

"He did study really hard."

Emily went up to Daniel smiling at him.

"Good job Daniel!" Emily smiled but her thoughts trailed off to the other Daniel. What will he say? She did after all say she was top in math.
