THE PRESENT WAS PRESSED close to her chest as Emily made her way to Han River for Vasco's birthday. The air was cold, but her clothing gave her enough warmth to not catch a possible cold.
"Oh yeah.. I don't think he's going to make it." The faint shout came from ahead, her ears perked at the familiar voices.
"Um, Vasco." Daniel's familiar voice says, as a gleeful voice responds.
"Yeah? What's up?"
"Ah.. I mean, congrats, really.."
"Thank you! I'm so happy today!"
Emily walks closer to them, as they sat in a circle on a blanket. Her lips turn into a smile, her legs approaching behind Vasco. All eyes turned to Vasco, but they quickly move to look behind him, watching the girl attempt to scare the birthday boy. Her eyes trail to look at the girl that sat beside him. Crystal smiled lightly. Her eyes narrows in confusion but quickly look back at the plan. Emily's hands clasp over Vasco's eyes making him yelp in surprise.
"Happy birthday, Tae."
"Emily!" The boy glowed in happiness, the cold not bothering his special day. Her laugh slipped through the air as she sat herself in between her cousin and the birthday boy.

The group sang, clapped along to the imaginary tune. Vasco's smile becoming larger if that was even possible.
"Thank you! I'm happy!" Vasco exclaims, holding the cake close to him. As he was about to blow out the burning candles, the wind had other things planned. The wind came stronger, burning out the candles. Everyone looked at the cake, then at Vasco. After a second, Vasco had blowed onto imaginary flames. His cheeks were red, playing dumb.
"Everyone! Thank you."
"Yeah.."

Daniel says as Vasco's eyes never leave the polaroids. Everyone is giving their gifts to Vasco.
