LOTTO

THE GIRL LEANED AGAINST the counter talking to a working Jace. People waited in line, thinking she was going to order. Her mouth was covered with a black mask, as she had catched a small cold.

"Emily, you're taking up the line, just come here." Jace whispers as her eyes widened.

"Can I really?" She asked, as he simply nodded tilting his head over to the door. She jumped over to the door, standing next to Jace.

"Are you sure your manager won't be mad?" Emily questioned her friend as he looked over at her. He smiled slightly, raising an eyebrow.

"They love you, just as long as you're working there won't be a problem." Jace shrugs as the girl smiled behind her mask. After a couple of minutes of serving customers, all everyone in the café would talk about was about gambling for teenagers.

"Jesus Christ." Emily whispered as Jace glanced over at her.

"Right."

Two boys approached the counter, their conversation sounding like everyone else's.

"I bet it all on right three, left odds."

"You're nuts."

"Here are your two americanos." Jace said to the two. Everyone was either asking for loans or simply talking about the games. She helped Jace clean some of the plates.

"Kids these days." Jace whispers as Emily turns to look at him.

"Aren't we the same ag-"

"Shh."

Emily laughed cleaning off the rest of the dishes she had been washing, quickly drying off her hands.

"Jace." A guy said from beside her, he quickly looked at Emily, his eyes squinting at the girl, who's face was half covered. His eyes trailed back over to Jace, raising a hand to the nape of his head.

"Spot me some cash. I'll pay you back when I win." He says, smiling innocently at Jace.

"No way. This isn't the first time."

"Hey don't be like that."

"Don't be like that.. You wanna play. I know all the tricks for winning." He smiles looking over at Jace.

"Yuri! I'm going to the convenience store!" Emily yells as Yuri pokes her head through the kitchen door.

"Go change first." Yuri demanded, looking at Emily's outfit which consisted of shorts, a tank top, and socks with slippers.

"What's wrong with my outfit." Emily frowns.

"I don't need to explain myself, now go change." Yuri demanded as the girl sighed, going back to her room to change. She changes from shorts to grey sweatpants, and from a tank top to a black long sleeve, but she kept her slippers on. She grabbed her wallet and phone putting them into the pockets of her pants, as she ran down her large set of stairs.
