Chapter Four: Slip up

Monday was not a good day for Logan.
He had woken up at 4 am feeling deadly sick. He threw up and quite literally thought he was going to die.
His first thought was, 'My attendance has been perfect all year, I cannot let this hold me back.' but then he heaved the food that he had eaten the previous night into the toilet again and decided it would be best for everyone if he stayed home.

Around 8, his phone rung with a call from Declan.
"Hello?" He sighed as he answered.
"Hey, Lo, are you alright?" Declan asked, worry clear in his voice.
"Oh, yeah, I just got really sick this morning. I probably just have the flu. I'm sure I'll be fine by tomorrow." He said.
"Hey, I'll bring you some soup after school. Does that sound good? And we can watch Big Hero Six, I know it's your favorite." He said.
"That actually sounds great, Dec. I love you." Declan smiled.
"I love you to, Logan." He said and hung up. That made Logan's day much better.
However, Declan's just got worse. When he turned around, Roman Prince was standing behind him, and, well, this was bad. Roman was a huge gossip. He spilled everyones secrets to the girls on the cheerleading team and then, well, they made sure everyone knew. He was also currently dating one of Logan's best friends, Virgil.
"Who were you talking to? You said Logan... Were you talking to Logan Sanders?" Roman asked. Declan's eyes widened.
"Its none of your business who I was talking to." He said and stepped back. Roman narrowed his eyes, "For all you know, I could've been taking to my brother. Or cousin. Or close friend or relative." He said.
"Oh yeah? Then what friend or close relative was it? You're always hanging around Logan, it was obviously him." Declan huffed.
"No, I, we hang out becuase he tutors me! Not because we're dating. He's... hes a loser. Why would I ever want to be with him?" Declan said, trying anything to cover his tracks. Roman scoffed.
"You're a real jerk to say that about your obvious boyfriend." Declan clenched his jaw.
"Well, you're a real jerk for spilling everyones damn secrets all the time." Roman rolled his eyes.
"I do not! You dont even know me!"
"Who else knew when Jenna was going to drop out of school becuase she was pregnant. You were her best friend and then you went around spilling her secrets like that!" He said. Roman rolled his eyes again.
"You dont even know the story." He said.
"I do, actually, becuase Jenna is my little sister!" He said. Suddenly the bell rang.
"I have to get to class." Roman said and turned around to run off.
Skipping school didnt seem like that bad of an idea.
