Chapter 26 - They don't matter anymore

"Chara?" Gaster woke up, it was midnight. He walked to the bathroom and tried to open the door but it was locked "Chara? Is everything okay? I heard you scream" Gaster said, but it was silence. Gaster raced into the kitchen and grabbed a screwdriver, he then raced to the bathroom and picked lock the door open. He opened it to see Chara on the ground, he froze. "Chara! Are you okay!?" He kneeled besides her, Chara looked up at him. She had a creepy grin on her face, Gaster froze at the memory. "U-Um Chara?" He backed up, the door automatically closed behind him. "H-Hey!" He tried to open the door, he faced Chara who got up and grabbed the knife. He backed against the wall, he was taking deep breaths. Chara charged at him with the knife, he screamed.

*BANG!*

The door flung open, Gaster raced forward to dodge it. The door smacked Chara into the wall, Gaster looked up to see Sans. "What's going on!?" Sans asked, Gaster pointed at Chara. "Something wrong! She's trying to kill me!" Gaster said, Sans picked up Gaster and raced upstairs. He banged in Papyrus's door, Papyrus opened it and Sans rushed in and slammed it shut. "Something's wrong with Chara" Sans said, Papyrus looked tired. Red was still asleep in the bed, Sans put Gaster down. "Didn't we all agree not to question Chara on the first meeting with her?" Papyrus asked, Sans facepalmed. "No no no, she tried to hurt Gaster" Sans said, Papyrus was still confused. "Well... Are we just gonna sit here or go out there?" Papyrus asked, Sans smiled. "Why of course, thanks for volunteering!" Sans smiled

"What!? Why me?" Papyrus asked

"Well let's think here.... Your an ex king, great experience in fighting, and not to mention your her older brother!"

"Adoptive! Older brother!"

"Your still her older brother!"

"Fine! Fine! Your coming with me though"

"Sure"

Papyrus left the room, Sans slammed the door behind him. "Oh! That son of a bi-"

*Meanwhile*

Chara looked around, before her was Toriel in the judgement hall. Chara gripped onto her knife growling. "What more do I have to say!? I didn't hurt anybody!" Chara yelled, she couldn't see Toriels eyes but the grin that was on her face instead. The walls erupted in flames, Dreemurr Beamers were summoned as they began to glow. "I'm not afraid of you! I'm never afraid of you!" Chara shouted, as she raced to Toriel. Jumping up, dodging the flames that were blasted from the Dreemurr Beamers. She attempted to slice Toriel but the world around her went black, she fell on the ground instead. "Ow..." Chara held her head as she sat up, looking around her. There was nothing around her, she stood up slowly. "Hello!?" She called, but nobody came. She walked around, she grabbed her knife from the ground. If that was the ground, that is. "Did I die...?" Chara wondered as she looked around, looking around for a [SAVE] or [RESET] button, but it was no luck.

Chara stopped as she heard familiar voices, she looked behind her. Seeing human children shadows behind her, giggling and laughing as they pointed at her. Chara was confused she walked away but more children spawned around her. The laughter rose louder and louder, Chara covered her ears as she closed her eyes tight. "What!? What do you want!?" She shouted, overhearing one of the children. "Look at her red eyes" The child said, followed by giggling and laughter. Chara froze, her eyes widen as she looked up. "I know! She must be one of those monsters" A second child whispered, more giggling. Chara growled "I don't need them..." Chara muttered, the voices got louder. She crouched down as she covered her ears, memories were flowing through her head. She covered her eyes, a slight whimper escaped her lips. She then heard a familiar voice...

"Chara! Chara please! Wake up!"

//What...?//

"Chara! Snap out of it!"

//Gaster...?//

Chara looked up, looking around but she couldn't see him. She looked down, she sighed. "I'm not afraid.... I can't be..." Chara gripped onto her sleeves, looking at the children shadows. She marched to them "I don't NEED YOU!" She punched one of them, they vanished as she punched them. The other shadows froze, grabbing onto her. The shadows were pulling her back, forming a chain around her wrists and ankles. "No! This is NOT the underground! This is NOT back then!" She yanked at the chained, it hurt her wrists and ankles but she didn't give up. The voices were whispering around her head, she remembered all the times she let those children get to her. "This is NOT like my past life!" She yanked again "And if you think your comments will stop me, you SURE AS HELL don't know me!" Chara yanked again, harder this time. She felt the chains get loose but it wasn't enough. The shadows were pulling her back, her eyes turned black. "This...." She pulled away "...is..." She yanked away, but she was still attached "....not...." She growled, her eyes were leaking a strange black liquid "a STUPID GAME!" She yanked away, breaking the chains apart. The chains turned to children again, their expressions were surprised instead of anger. "This world is not a game! I'm not gonna abuse that power again, just because of you!" Chara turned around to them, the children back away. There were 6 of them. Each with their own soul trait. "I'm not a coward!" Chara held her knife as she walked towards the! "And I sure as hell ain't some red eye freak, I'm not letting some lost kids get in my way" She laughed "Your not the one in control here" She smiled as she launched at them

*A few moments later*

Chara shot up, breathing heavily. "Chara!" Gaster smiled as he looked at her, Chara smiled weakly but froze realizing she couldn't move. "Uh.... Gaster?" She looked down, she was tied to a chair. "Well, long story... So you scared Papyrus" Gaster said, chuckling nervously. "I kinda tied you up since you were acting a little uh... Crazy?" Gaster shrugged, he and Chara heard a sarcastic surprise gasp from Papyrus who was in the kitchen. "A-A-A-A Little crazy!?" Papyrus was drinking tea, Sans was next to him fast asleep while standing. "Well at least she didn't wake any of the kids up, and I must hand it to you, Eras, Dayne and Berlin are quite heavy sleepers to sleep through your screaming" Gaster smiled, Papyrus glared at him. "I wasn't screaming" Papyrus sipped his tea, Sans opened an eye "You totally were" He mentioned then closed his eyes again while giving his usual lazy smile. Chara chuckled "Please untie me" She said, Gaster untied her. "So what was... THAT all about?" Gaster asked, looking concerned. Chara looked down, thinking to herself. "Sans..." She looked up at Sans, he opened his eyes lazily and looked down at her.

"I have a confession..."

Sorry I have posted in a long while, lately I've been thinking of a new plot to put into the story, I have one in mind but if you have any ideas or just fun ideas for the gang to do then feel free to tell me, and I promise that I'll start posting more on this story from now on
