Sans raised an eyebrow as he stared down at Chara "A confession, you say?" He asked, Chara slowly nodded. Sans looked at Gaster and Papyrus then back at Chara, he sighed. "Get in the car" He said, Chara slowly nodded.

Sans was driving for what seemed like an hour now, Chara sat in silence. Not knowing where they were going can be pretty terrifying in a way, she was trying to figure what words to put together. Sans finally stopped the car, Chara looked up. They were near the edge on top of the mountian of Mount Ebott. Chara knew why Sans chose this place, it was quiet. "So... Your confession?" He put the car on park, turning to Chara. Chara looked up at him, her eyes showed horror. Normally she'd have someone in the room whenever she confessed something that she had done but, doing it alone was scary. "I... I wasn't exactly honest when I said told you what lead me to Mount Ebott... When I first met you guys..." Chara spoke softly, Sans nodded. "I remember, you said bad things happen" Sans said, remembering the exact conversation. "That... Was a little bit of a lie..." Chara said, pulling on the ends of her sweater.

Sans didn't look at her but, instead focused his gaze into the sky. "I... I... I was a very dumb child... No, I didnt stupidly jump down the hole... I had a great family, great friends... But my father was a scientist, or back in the day a wizard" Chara said, Sans remembered that her father was one of the wizards who created the barrier. "He was doing an experiment, I was a naive child. Pretty normal, brown hair, brown eyes and tan skin... I walked into his lab late at night attempting to find him... I remember calling out his name and instead found colorful potions, now I was a pretty curious child... I loved colors and I didnt know any better..." Chara said, smiling a bit at the memory. The thought of the night was very clear to her, she remembered it as if it were yesterday. "Well... As a child, I grabbed the pink potion. I was mixing potions together to see what new color I could make... It was fun... Purple, blue, green blue... I made alot of colors until I ended up with black... I heard a door open and out of fear dropped the potion on my feet... Before I could react, there was explosion right below me. I remember... Smoke everywhere, I heard my father calling my name... I couldn't move..." Chara looked down, tears slowly filling her eyes. Sans was silent, he wasnt mad just oddly quiet. "Please finish..." He said, his voice held a scary tone to it. Like one you get when your parent or guardian caught you doing something you clearly weren't allowed to do.

"I... I woke up a few days later... I was woken by my mother shaking me gently. She froze when she saw my eyes, I didnt know why but she was crying as she ran away. Did I scare her? I was too young to know what I did, I followed her down stairs to see her arguing with my father then hugging him. My father... Man... He looked at me and froze, I could see the fear in his eyes. I slowly grabbed the pot, looking into the reflection as I dropped it on the floor" Chara stopped, Sans looked at her. "I had red eyes... If you were there, you could see how pale I was. The potions radiations practically turned me to a ghost and changed my eye color. That wasnt all though... I tried to walk to my parents, my shadow grabbed my hand. I remember ny father screaming at the shadow to let me go, I remember panicking and my mother grabbing me and trying to pull me. I remember my legs turned black as they walked on their own, I ran out of the house. I was panicking, trying to stop myself. I ended up doing so, now I, a red eye girl, stood in the middle of the plaza while the whole town stared at me" Chara flinched at the memlry, Sans looked down. He could relate to that feeling, back whem Monsters and Humans were first beganing to fight and he stood alone while the humans glared at him.

"Days passed and my father worked very hard to try to change me back, even if I was different he still loved me. My Mom still cooked for me, they read me bedtimes stories but deep inside they knew what would happen to me" Chara said, putting her hand to her heart. "I sat in the lab with my father, I watched him reading a magic book trying to figure out what exactly I did, I remember sitting there with guilt. All because of my curiosity I was in this mess, my parents never stopped loving me. I don't know why, I guess I was still the same child inside" Chara said, looking down. "There was a reason I ran to the mountian, and it wasn't a good one per say but it wasn't bad either" Chara said, Sans looked down at her. "You hated humanity, however, your parents loved you and you had friends... What happened to that?" Sans asked, he was getting curious. "I never told my friends of my stupid mistake, I just played it off as I was attacked and my eyes just got bruised or something. I know, not the best excuse but I was 7 at the time. I was attending one of my Dad's 'wizard' meetings and... I overheard somethings..." Chara looked down sadly, she gripped onto the ends of her shirt tight. "The other 5 wizards hated me, said I was classified as a monster... My father fought back, saying I was still his child. I remember being happy that my father loved me, but I heard the wizards say that the explosion 'killed' me in a way. That explained my super pale skin I guess, they called me a monster and said I should be banished. I heard magic in the room, I peeked in and my father had turned the wizards into frogs" Chara said, Sans looked down at her.

"Even though my father defended me, I could still remember the words those wizards said. I was a walking zombie, I was a monster. I was dangerous to society, for nights my father tried desperately to fix me. It was too late. Every potion he tried was uneffective, he knew I wasn't able to control what was happening. I heard him saying to my Mother that they would move, and protect me. They would run away from society and keep me safe... I didnt want that... I didnt want them to hide because of me" Chara looked down, Sans knew what was about to happen. "That same night, I wrote them a note and ran away to Mount Ebott. I knew the legend, I knew the consequences and if I was a monster then I will be with my kind" Chara said, her voice sounding angry. "I hated humanity, how could they hate something thats different? How could they spend all their time hating someone that they used to love because of their looks! How could the human society just turn agaisnt itself like its... Its... They called monsters heartless but their ten times worse! Monsters stick together but humans? Humans would leave each other if they were different... There were those one out of a million humans like my parents who loved anything that was different..." Chara calmed down, she looked down. "I ran to Mount Ebott and tripped then fell... Thats when I met Gaster and you guys. You didnt care that my eyes were red or I was practically a ghost... You loved me for my personality... The entire kingdom loved me... I wanted to return that favor so I..." She stopped, Sans looked at her. "Let me guess, sacrifice yourself?" He said, she looked up at him confused. "Kid, you were sick by the poisonous flowers, its no accident since you knew they were poisonous" Sans said, and as usual he was right.

"Trust me kid, I get how humanity is. They turn their backs on each other because of their differences, but you gotta respect those who never left your side. Like your parents..." Sans said, Chara smiled weakly. "Do you know what happened to them?" Sans asked, Chara shook her head. "Well... I happen to find a book about them... They missed you very much, they even went to Mount Ebott to look for you" Sans smiled, Chara was smiling. "Its been 100 years now... Even more..." Chara said, Sans nodded. "We can't exactly bring them back, but hey... Maybe one day you'll see them in your dreams... You'll see them again one day" Sans smiled, he ruffled her hair. "Hey!" She giggled, Sans smiled. "For now, you have us. The past is in the past, but we do need to figure out what exactly your powers can do" Sans said, Chara nodded. "Now... Lets go home, Im tired" Sans said, Chara nodded again.
