Percy's POV
"So you don't want to take over Olympus? 'Cause I'm sure everyone knows you've been after that place." I said suddenly confused. What more could he want?
"Poseidon should be able to tell you. Go on, you've kept them in the dark long enough. I'm giving you a chance to tell him yourself because you are his father so don't make me change my mind and say it myself." Kronos said getting irritated with the situation.
"Dad, what's he talking about? What is this life long secret you've been keeping from me?" I asked curiously.
"Yes Poseidon I would also like to know." Zeus said sounding rather displeased that a secret had been kept from him.
Poseidon signed as he felt all eyes turn to look at him wondering what it could be that had the mighty sea god shaking.
"I'd like to speak to Percy privately. Without interruption. Poseidon stated.
" And yes it's very important that he knows first." He added seeing Zeus open his mouth to argue.
At Poseidon's cabin
"What's going on dad?" I asked searching for any clue in his father's eyes. He noticed that his father looked older than usual and nervous. The sea reacting to his emotions that were fighting each other.
"Remember the birth mark between your shoulder blades and your neck. The one that looks like an hour glass?" Poseidon asked still fidgeting.
"Yeah you always said it wasn't important and not to worry about it. So what's changed now?" I said still wondering where the discussion was heading to.
"Its a sign. Look I didn't mean for it to happen. I tried to keep you away from my world as much as possible so I could avoid it. I didn't want this life for you." Poseidon said looking at me with different emotions. Sadness, anger, concern and worry.
"Dang it dad just get to the point. What's this super huge secret that you're hiding. What's so important about this mark?" said I asked getting agitated.
"It would be best to tell you the whole story" Poseidon said.
Flashback (In Poseidon's POV)
Sally had just given birth to a beautiful baby boy. He was absolutely perfect. He had a little tuff of unruly black hair and beautiful sea green eyes like mine. He had his mother's shape though. Apollo had helped in delivering the baby. He also had the hourglass shaped birth mark between his neck and shoulder region. In our excitement we wanted to know a little about his future.
Apollo waved his hand and a screen formed mist. It showed him going on quests, defeating monsters, and older being like the Titans and giants and even Gaea. I was so proud of him. Thinking that was all we were about to close the screen when I heard a voice that sent shivers down my spine.
I looked back and saw my father and my son in an embrace with Kronos trying to calm Percy down. Whispering soft words of love and comfort him.
I was shocked even after the screen went off I still stood there trying to comprehend what happened.
When I did , I summoned Aphrodite trying to get her to set Percy with someone else.
"I didn't set Percy's love life. It is far beyond me. It has been set in stone since time existed." She said trying to make me see reasons not to try changing it.
"OK if you can't change that at least try to set him with someone else. I just can't accept this fate for my son." I pleaded with her desperately .
"You see the birth mark. It is a sign that tells everyone that Percy is Kronos's. So it won't change. But if it makes you feel better then I'll set him with another half blood". Aphrodite said with a sad smile on her face.
" Thank you Aphrodite. This means a lot to me." I said heaving a sigh of relief
