Just a heads up, this one's not too interesting. Skip to the next one if you want something a little more angsty.

Betty's P.O.V.

I was in the pool with Archie, Veronica, and Jughead. Veronica hoisted herself up onto the edge and said, "I can't believe summer's almost over."

"Me neither," Archie said. "It feels like it just started."

Jughead moved to the edge of the pool and rested his arm on top of it, still in the water. I glanced at the water and back up at Jughead, then sent a wave of pool water at him.

Archie and Veronica laughed and Jughead sputtered, swiping water off his face. Then his lip twitched upwards and he tossed water back at me.

I stumbled back and laughed, and in my peripheral vision, I saw Veronica slide back into the pool, put her hands in the water, and slam them up into the air, raining the water down on Archie.

I glanced over at Jughead as he sent another wave at me. I feinted out of the way and dropped into the water, my ponytail flying up over my head. My gaze went to Jughead's torso and I tackled him, sending him flying to the edge of the pool.

He laughed and wrapped his arms around my waist. I slid my arms around his neck and smiled, then twisted him around so that my back was against the edge.

"This summer sure has been great," he said.

I grinned. "Couldn't have been better."

I leaned up and kissed him, and one of his hands went to my face, cupping it. My hands slid up to his hair and stayed there, and we kissed until a wave of pool water washed over us.

I coughed and sputtered. Then I looked up to see Archie and Veronica laughing. Jughead and I looked at each other and sent a huge wave over them.

And so we splashed around in the pool until we were all drenched and sputtering and decided it was time to dry off and head home. Well, not home, really. We were staying at Veronica's place at Shadow Lake, so that's where we went.

We all talked for a while more in front of the blazing fire in the living room until we got too tired to speak.

When I yawned for the fourth time in a row, Veronica laughed and said, "Looks like someone's tired."

"I think we all are after today," Jughead said. "We should get to bed."

"Yeah, we should," Archie said. "Night, everyone."

"Good night," we all said.

Veronica and Archie headed to their room and Jughead and I headed to ours.

We climbed into bed and Jughead draped the covers over us. Then he gave me a kiss and a "goodnight," and I returned it, leaned against his chest, and drifted off.

Okay, this was a little short. Fine, really short, but this is my first Bughead piece that I've written, so just bear with me, please. The best one is longer and more interesting, and I know that because I've already written in. Feel free to leave any comments or critiques. Hope you enjoyed!
