I had always hated long road trips; especially when they involved me sitting in the back of a army truck.

Personally my choice of car wasn't a car it was riding those deadly, death machines which are commonly known as motorbikes. They personally for me were the closest things to flying. Flying is my darkest, secret and my weakness. Oh god, a thought hit me.

These people could fly anywhere. But instead they were stuck in a van with a nephilim who chose to fight with dark angels. I smiled at the thought which earnt a nudge from Kemp. He chuckled to himself for some unknown reason and I sighed looking out the window.

I held my breath looking out. It was amazing, we travelled high in the mountain range that seemed to go on forever. The greenness and mist made the site so mystical. The rolling plains, the run down road, the way no one was in sight. It had been 3 hours according to Kemp since we left the stronghold and entered the 'track'.

My mind kept wondering to the military base we were being taken. I knew everyone was going to rock up there; fallen and angel alike together to stop the demons. I still had to interrogate Kemp on the heart thing, but other than that my mind was still stuck on military camp. Would it be like when Michael took me to the special place.

WHAM!!

My hands flew to my dark sword. Every angel within a five block radius instantly backed away. Everyone except Kemp who whipped out a dagger and pointed it at my throat.

"Put it away," he spoke gruffly. Like it was almost forced.

To think I actually thought we had something going...

I guess we would always be enemies, after all he did stab me.

Back to the wham, geez these people obviously don't drive much.

I shot out the back of the van faster than anyone else, looking around I saw a dead flat, unscalable mountain with a village on top. The formation of angels in the van formed around me.

Jerry stood behind me, while Kemp just stayed still and shook his magnificent wings. Taking off he sprang into the air and flew up the mountain.

The only way up was to fly and I couldn't fly.

Jerry flew up along with everyone else in the van or so I thought.

I spun around defeated and prepared myself for the walk back. I began my walk proudly smiling a fake smile.

I felt a warm hand on my back, spinning around I pulled the arm and the owner into a death grip. My chest was brushing against beautiful, hellish, black wings. By hellish I mean so black they are the colour of the end.

My smile faltered when my hands began stroking the wings. The owner took the chance to spin around and grap my hands. I looked up to meet a set of black eyes with that almighty black hair.

He smiled wrapped his arms around my waist and lifted me into the air flapping his powerful wings.

A giggle exploded out of my mouth.

"Someone's happy. The name's Jace by the way." He spoke confidently smiling widely. "You must be the famous Trina I've been watching for the past 3 hours."

"Yep, it's me. Wait, where were you in the truck?"

"Sure was, sitting right across from you actually."

I looked down to find myself floating, then a chuckle. Damn, Jace can go invisible.

'Sure can' I heard his deep voice in my mind. My eyes grew wide and I began to struggle.

"What are you?" I asked, guessing he'd say an angel.

"Well I'm the enhanced version of an everyday angel. Basically I was nephilim turned angel. The angel part is wings but the rest is all nephilim. You've been along long enough I'm surprised you haven't unlocked your abilities. Looks like your not alone now."

"Great there's 2 of us." I smiled sarcastically annoyed by the cocky way he spoke.

'I heard that'. Damn that guy could mind read as well.

With that he dropped me over the edge of the mountain and I fell plummeting to my death.
