Trainings and Tests

Izuku's POV

Big time skip to Monday morning

I woke up to the sound of my phone alarm screaming at me. I rolled over and grabbed it off the desk to turn it off and watched a 4:30 flash across the screen. ' Why do have an alarm set so freaking early?!' " Oh training! My first training with All Might is today!" I whisper-screamed. Which also accidentally woke up skipper, who was mildly confused. 

" Sorry boy, I'm just excited" I whispered to him to try and calm him down, which thankfully worked and he quickly fell back asleep. About 10 minutes later, I was ready to get up. Problem? Skipper REALLY likes to sleep my legs. "Come on, up!up! We got an early day ahead of us!" I coaxed until he woke up again, stretched, and jumped lightly down onto the floor. I follow suit and got dressed and got him dressed ( I put his vest on). About 5 minutes later, I grabbed my phone and his leash and headed towards the beach. 

We reached the beach a couple of minutes early and All Might was already there. A cool breeze brushed my face which made me shiver a bit.  " Hey, All Might! There's someone I would like you to meet." I called out, running up to him. " This is Skipper, my ESA"

" Hello Boy! Nice to meet you!" He greeted him before looking up at me " Is it okay if I pet him?". "Sure, thanks for asking first." I replied kindly. All Might started scratching his fluffy chin which made him happy and he started licking his hand. " Alright, Alright, that's enough" he laughed "we have work to do!". " Now, young izuku, do you know why I called you here?" 

" Actually, no" I said sheepishly. " Well, it's because you aren't ready!" he replied confidently. After he said that I almost started crying "But I thought you said I was worthy!"Why the sudden flip?!". "Easy, easy, you are ready mentally but your body isn't" My power is so strong that if I tried to give it to you now, your limbs would blow off!". That image sent a shiver down my spine and made my face flush. " so to train you will be cleaning all of this trash up!" He continued " Since you plan on being a hero, do you also plan on going to UA?".  "Yes sir, I do!" I said excitedly with stars in my eyes.

 "Great, the entrance exam is only 10 months away so let's get to work!" 

Time Skip to after the training 

' Oh god, everything hurts, and I have 10 more months  ' it's almost 7 now and class starts at 7:45, I need to hurry and finish getting ready.' ' It's a 20-minute walk just to get there'. My thoughts raced around as I unlocked the front door. I looked down at Skipper who look alert but absolutely exhausted. " I'm sorry baby" I coaxed him " Once we get to school you can sleep, I promise.". This made him happy apparently as his tail quickly flicked back and forth. We walked inside and was greeted by breakfast and a worried Mom. " There you are! I went to go wake you up but your room was empty!"Where'd you go??" She said frantically. "I'm sorry, I decided to go on a run and I guess forgot to leave a note or text," I said quietly while dropping my head. She walked up and gently cupped face and said gently  " It's okay sweetie, you just gave a little scare that's all."Now go wash up and eat, we don't have a lot of time"

I quickly ate my breakfast, took my meds, got my uniform on and grabbed my bag. I told Mom and a quick goodbye and bounded out the door with leash in hand. I was jogging down the sidewalk when a familiar voice called out behind me " Oi! Deku! Is that the mutt?" I whipped around to see Kacchan walking up behind me. Out of habit, I jumped a little and stuttered out " Y-Yes. This is Skipper.". He looked down at him and reached out to pet him. I then suddenly swat his hand away, which angered him and he gave me a death glare. " I-I'm sorry, H-he's working r-right now and c-can't be distracted." I spat out trying to hold what little confidence I had. " Tsk, whatever, move it, I'm gonna be late," He muttered under his breath. After the shock wore off, I started jogging again with Skipper close behind. 

Time Skip to school

I walked in the door and all eyes were on me and Skipper, which freaked me out. I quietly made my to the back of the room and sat down, and all eyes were still on us. A few whispers filled the tense room. Thankfully the teacher walked in and redirected everyone's attention and the tense atmosphere disappeared. 

For a moment that is... "Mr. Midoyria is there someone you who like to introduce?" 

" Oh, y-yes" "Up boy," I said and made my way to the front of the room with Skipper trailing behind me. "Everyone, this is Skipper. He is my ESA or Emotional Support Animal. He helps me control my anxiety." All I ask is that you don't pet him while he is working, it distracts him ." I finished "Any questions?". After answering a few basic questions, I sat back down and the teacher continued his lesson for the day. A few hours later he was standing at the front and said: " I could give you these career tests, but what's the point!". This angered a few but then he said " I know you all are planning on going the hero course!" and threw the papers up into the air! The students started cheering and showing off their quirks and raising there hands, including myself. But quickly shut down because of the rules. Then Kacchan spoke up " Hey! Teach! Don't lump me in with these bunch of extras!" They'll be lucky to be a sidekick to a busted D-lister!" He spouted off, letting his massive ego shine through. This ticked off multiple people who shouted " What the heck Katsuki?!" and " Super uncalled for!". The teacher quieted the angry classmates and said in a calm manner " Ah, Katsuki, you plan to go to UA, correct?". The student's anger turned into shock and they started asking him a bunch of questions about it and commenting on the low acceptance rate. All the while, I just stayed put lost in my own thoughts working on my hero notebook and Skipper was taking a nap. ' At least the attention isn't on me anymore'. 

Or so I thought 

"Ah, Midoyria, you want to go to UA as well, correct?" the teacher said calmly and passively. Kacchan then stopped mid-sentence, turned around, and started laughing. "You're a level below these extras Deku!your quirkless and unstable!" How do you possibly plan to get in? Huh?" He spat out in a condescending tone. "T-they got rid of that rule! a-and if I study-" I started before being cut off and literally blown to the back of the room. My back slamming against the wall making it hurt after it had just stopped form this morning. This spooked and also angered Skipper who woke up and walked in front of me and let out a low growl, letting his teeth show, and the fur on his back spiked. " Look! He's so weak he can't even defend himself! His mutt has to do it for him!"And do you really think just studying gonna get you in? you little piece of-" Then from across the room, the teacher barked "Enough! Everyone sit back down! I'll be right back with a new desk and Katsuki. Principals. Now". "and Midoyria please calm your dog down," He said in a softer tone before walking out. Everyone followed the commands and I reassured Skipper until his fur arch went down and he was at ease. The only thing that really upset me was that my hero notebook got charred during the explosion. I didn't see Kacchan for the rest of the day, except for when he came to get his stuff and his mother was standing in the doorway giving everyone else a sweet smile and him a VERY angry glare. 

The rest of the day was uneventful, thankfully, and Kacchan got a 3-day suspension for destruction of property and harsement. Skipper and I walked home in peace.
