The Aftermath

The weeks following the sports festival attack were an uncomfortable blur.

Bakugo was immediately sent to court and found guilty of conspiring with villains with malicious intent. However, because he was still a minor and best jeanest promised the court he could fix his anger and attitude problems, he only got a year in juvie. Though Bakugo's parents were throughly shocked and confused and begged the court to reconsider their choice; What was done was done and the couple had to watch him be escorted out, with handcuffs shackled to his wrist and blank look on his face.

Izuku's anxiety worsened again and now on top of it, the entire world was watching him. They knew is worth now and quite frankly, Izuku hated the early attention. He knew he wasn't at his best yet, and wanted to make his debut much later on. Not in the middle of a arena, only a few months into his first year of high school. Luckily, Izuku didn't get in trouble with Skipper's work center since Izuku wasn't putting him in danger on purpose. However, got a very stern warning about what would happen if ever did.

All Might got the worst of it though, ever since the attack it's just questions upon questions.

" Why didn't you announce this before?"

" What makes him so special? He clearly can't handle the quirk yet."

" Do you plan to retire now?"

Izuku did his best to offer relief, saying he could handle the press himself. But All Might refused to let him handle that burden and simply told the boy he has handled worse before. UA itself got hit pretty hard as well, every media outlet wanting to know how and why they let a "traitor" into their system. The school insisted that Bakugo wasn't a dangerous traitor and simply a child with anger issues beyond what he could control. And that they trust best jeanest will be able to sort him out and they'd be happy to let him back in a late second year or third year.

Despite all of the awful events, two good things blossomed. Firstly, while Izuku was in the hospital recovering, him and Todo were able to have a heart to heart discussion and Izuku was able to break through and convince him to use his duo-quirk to its fullest. Because even though the fire might have come from his abusive father, it was ultimately his own fire and not his father's. Secondly, Izuku and Shinsou's relationship strengthened even more than it had before and the two were closer than ever.

However, the news did reach someone that Izuku didn't know of yet but would lead to his mentor's ultimate downfall....
