Chapter Twenty~Six: Baby

Chris pov

I pulled up at home and parked the car. I looked at my son in the backseat and he was sleep along with his sister.

I got out the car and walked to the back seat. "Get up lil man." I told him shaking him awake. I then unbuckled Roro and left her sleep in my arms. We walked to the house and I unlocked the door and we walked in.

I looked around the living room and didn't see Jaylein or Joyce anywhere. "Babyyy" I yelled I didn't get a respond. "Aye lil man put your sister down and get a snack" I told Reece

He did what I said and thought to myself "Maybe she trying to get nasty " I said out loud laughing to my self. I ran up the steps two at a time and I busted my shit "FUCKKKK!" I yelled

"Dad you okay!?" Reece yelled upstairs

"Yea lil dude I'm straight" I got up and went into the room and saw Jaylien laided out on the floor with blood around her head. I couldn't believe it. I saw a note next to her and it said. "You took what was mine "

I quickly grabbed my key and phone a ran downstair. "Recce get you sister and go to the car now " I said

"Is mommy okay? "

"Yeah lil nigga what I say?" I asked him hoping to myself that she was and will be.

I ran upstairs and picked up her body bridal styles and ran downstairs.

"We need a doctor!" I yelled out and nobody moved. "Fuck is y'all doing I need a damn doctor, yall don't get one out here right the fuck now Ima blow this bitch up!" I yelled causing Royalty to scream. The little ugly ass receptions paged the doctors and they rushed to get her. I tried to go with her but they made me stay behind.

I punched the wall next to me I felt like it was my fault I knew people was out to hurt us but I felt like I had everything together

Once I chilled a little and get Reece and Royalty situated. I called her mom and she arrived in no time

"Chris everything going to be fine she a solider." She told me.

"Mama I don't know man, I just wished I can change shit."

"Chris you couldn't change anything that happened but you have to be calm." She said then rubbed my back. "I'll take the kids."
"Thanks mama"

" No problem son keep my updated please." She kisses my forehead and I kissed my kids and held back my tears as they walked away.

60 minutes, that's how long it took for them to get back and it felt like the longest of my life
I seen the doctor walk up and I stood up. "What's the news?"

"Well she's fine, but she lost the baby, I'm sorry." He said

"Baby?" I scrunched up my face

"Yes Jaylien was 5 weeks pregnant, and due to her hitting her head and the substance that she was forced to take in the baby is dead, antifreeze was the chemical, so this looks like an attempted murder case, but instead of killing her it killed the baby."

A tear slipped down my face but I quickly wiped it whoever did this took away our baby, I'm out for blood. "You may go in there I will let you break the news to her, room 69."

It took me a minute to register what he was saying but I made my way to the door.

When I entered she was laying there with needles and shit in her arm watch TV.

"Hey baby how you feeling?"

"I'm fine where's the kids?" She asked with worry in her voice as she tried to get up.

"You mom took them." I told her walking over to her side. "Chill baby I need you to relax." Once she was back to laying down I spoke. "Who did this?"

"Ion know your mom was on her phone then I heard something upstairs walked in the living room she wasn't there so I went upstairs she wasn't there next thing I known blacked out." She told me and I thought about it.

My mom has to be up to this shit, and as bad as it's go hurt me I gotta get rid of her and anyone else.

"Baby it's go be ok." I told her and kissed her forehead.

We sat in silence while the tv ran in the back now I think is the time to tell her. "Jj." She looked at me so I continued. "Did You know about the baby?" I asked her and she just looked at me.

"I wanted it to be a surprise." She said and a gave her a small smile. "I guess the secret is out." She said and chuckled a little.

"Baby ion know how to say this but whoever did this was trying to kill you, but instead of killing you it killed-"

"The baby." She said softly finishing my sentence. "I sorta put that together." She said looking down in her hands showing little emotion.

"Chris I'm so sorry." She said looking up at me blinking her tears away.

It was weird I thought she would just start crying and showing hella emotion but it was different. She just blinked her tears away.

"Its not your fault." I climbed in the bed with her and held her. I could tell that's she was holding the shit in and that hurt me even more. I kissed all over her face and rubbed her and she eventually went to sleep.
