Meanwhile, somewhere in a far off multiverse...

(3rd Person/Author's Pov.)

It was a quiet afternoon in London, calm and relaxing for anyone who lives here. Birds were singing, feeling the warm breeze on your skin, and most importantly, the nice and friendly resi-

"GOD DAMMIT! WHY!"

And there it it...

this certain street of 27 Durdam lane is not like other places, its also the home of four very close roommates with unique traits and weird obsessions and hobbies. Their name are Edd Gold, Tom Ridgewood, Matt Grieves, and Tord Larksson, and right now... things aren't looking too good for them today.

Edd was pacing around in the living room after coming in from getting the mail, and just received a notice from their landlord. Tom was in the room too, but was too drunk to care at all, "Edd I don't know what so bad about this, I mean... its just a notice." Tom reassures him, before taking a drink out of his flask that held Smirnoff. Edd turned his head towards his, his eyes widening with anger, "Just a notice? JUST A NOTICE?! Tom, this is very bad! If we get one more of these, we're gonna get kicked out! This is horrible!" Edd yells, you can just see the steam emitting from his ears.

Tom looks at Edd with his usual expression. It looks like he doesn't care, but if he was sober, he would be flipping out and blaming Tord, because he always know it was his fault for the notice from all the guns and illegal and banned items he owns. not to mention all the hentai the commie buys.

Now how about we get back to what Krissten is up to shall we?

She was currently following her father and his co-worker Annabelle after overhearing what Ms. Anna had mentioned. So she told her mom that she was going to use the bathroom so she could actually follow her dad, it slightly hurt to lie, but she was curious like a cat.

Her mom nodded while looking through her magazine she brought with her, and Krissten just rolled her eyes with this common response. She was now silently walking while trying to hide as well, being extra careful not to get caught by other workers or her father. She kept following them until the turned a corner to another area but was much bigger that the last room.

Krissten peers slightly around the corner just enough to see what was there, and to her surprise she couldn't believe what she was seeing. There stood a humongous machine that was shaped like an arched gate that was hooked up to another smaller machine. Her father and Annabelle stood to the side of it, they also seemed to be talking about it. Krissten quickly moved closer to them but still stayed hidden from their sight, listening in on their conversation.

Krissten's Pov.

"We just recently sent one of our spare blank notebooks into it, and located it in a parallel world from ours! The transfer was a success!"

"That's wonderful! Now that we know that we can send objects through, we can test if it can send people!"

"I don't know... We haven't tested that, and we don't know how to retrieve them unless we have contact with other multiverses. We don't know what might happen to them when we send them through."

"... You're right on that part... It would be way too risky to test it without knowing the full consequences if we can't reach them, we might have to keep working on-"

I blank out the rest, I feel my lips curling into a wide smile. This could be it, my escape from this old life to another. I could see myself now in another world than here, this machine could be my ticket out of here! Now all I need to do is figure out how to work it, my thoughts are interrupted as my dad and Annabelle go over to a workbench of some kind.
