Chapter 8: Awkward Moments

Tord's POV.

We entered the house after 3 hours of leaving the cavern, I have to say... That was the best adventure we've ever been on! I had lots of fun, well besides almost losing Krissten to becoming spider food.

Speaking of Krissten, she's been keeping her distance ever since I saved her... Why would she do that?! I saved her ass! She should be thanking me with kisses... My mind drifts off to Dreamland, re-imagining the scenario,

(Daydream)

I strut towards Krissten, covered in the blood of the spiders I just annihilated. She runs up to me, wrapping her arms around my neck and giving me a sweet embrace.

"Oh Tord! Thank you so much for saving me! I could've been killed if you hadn't been there to save me!" She exclaims, her eyes sparkling with admiration in them. I grin widely with pride and place a fist on my chest while puffing it out. "Oh it was nothing babe~ Just being the hero I am!" She looks up at me with a half lidded smile, "I don't know how I could ever thank you..."

"ₜₒᵣd..."

I look at her, placing my hand on her chin to tilt it up at me, and giving her a sweet smile, "You can thank me," I say as I get closer to her lips, feeling her warm breath on my face, her heartbeat beating in sync with my own, "By becoming my Kjæreste*~" I finish as I start to close the gap between us.

"ₜₒᵣd..."

But before I could...

"Tord..."

I look at her with wide eyes, why is her voice sounding a lot like Edd's?

"Hey Tord!"

(Daydream end)

"Hey Tord!"

I snap out of my daydream to turn towards Edd as he waved a hand in my face, he gives me a confused look as he crosses his arms, "You've been standing there while looking into space for a long time now, and I've been trying to get your attention..." He explained.

I could feel the blood rush to my cheeks, putting my hoodie color to shame. I look down in embarrassment, but then look back at him with a sheepish smile, "Sorry Edd, just thinking about stuff! I guess I got lost in thought..." I apologized to him, he uncrosses his arms and smiles.

"It's OK, I just got worried since everyone else went to their rooms to head to bed, and I noticed you didn't head to bed as well." I look around to realize that he was right, everyone was not in the room. They must've went to bed, I then yawned and look back at Edd. "Then I guess I should hit it as well, goodnight Edd!" I say to him as I leave to my room.

He waves back to me, "Goodnight Tord."

(The Next Day)

I woke up to my alarm clock, I turn in bed and hit the dismiss button. I sat up and stretched my back, wincing at the popping sounds it made. Jeez, yesterday really took a lot out of me! I got out of bed and headed out of my room to just see Krissten's door open and her exit out of it. She look around until she sees me, then she immediately flinches.

*Why did she flinch?* I thought to myself, I go to say something to her but she turns towards the direction of the kitchen and speed walks away.

That was strange, why did she? I shrug it off and walk to the kitchen for breakfast. As I entered the others but Krissten look at me, "Good morning Tord!" "Good morning Todd!" "Morning commie..." "..." I look at them and rub my eyes, "God morgen* everyone..." I trail off to Krissten munching on some toast, she peers at me then look back down quickly.
