Chapter 4: What a world I'm in!

London, UK

Krissten's Pov.

...
...

... Birds...

I hear birds,
why do I hear birds chirping?

I open my eyes to immediately close them shut. That was way to bright! I slowly attempt to sit up, moaning in pain while doing so. My vision finally gets used to the brightness, and my eyes open wide. I was on a grassy hill, but that wasn't what I was gaping at... No, it was the huge city right in front of me!

I get up while grabbing my bag, staring at the city in awe, it was so cool looking! I made my way towards it in a hurry, wanting to see more of it. When I made it into the city, It was bustling with people either going to work, or living out their normal lives. I had to struggle and push my way through the busy crowd of people, making sure I didn't get trampled or knocked down onto my bottom.

I looked around at the tall buildings and skyscrapers, holding my hand to block the sun so I didn't blind myself while observing the city, It seemed to resemble London in a way, did I actually go to Eddsworld after all, I didn't know. I walked along the sidewalk that was lined with many shops and liquor stores, but I guess I wasn't paying attention to where I was going that I bumped into a someone, a lady that looked much older than my parents did.

I turned my attention to her and flashed a apologetic look, "Oh I'm sorry, I was distracted. I didn't mean to bump into you!" I said to her, worried that I might have upset her. " Oh no worries! Its not your fault sweetie!" She said in a slight accent, "By the way, you don't sound like your from around here... Are you new?" She asked me in peaked interest, noticing I sounded non-foreign.

I nod my head at her, gripping my bag tight as if someone were to take it at any moment. "Y-yeah, I'm from America, it's my first time here..."I lie slightly, not wanting to tell the actual truth of how I got here, but I was telling a little bit of the truth, It was my first time in a place like this,

"Oh how interesting! You must be a long way from home, and all by yourself! So independent! Well I hope you have a nice time here sweetheart!" She wished me good luck and went on her way.

... A long way from home huh?
Didn't think I would see it that way...

I shook the thought away and continued down the street, looking at the various things that the city had in store for me.

Meanwhile, with Krissten's Parents

(3rd person/Author's Pov.)

"GET HER BACK HERE!"

"WE CAN'T! WE STILL HAVEN'T FIGURED OUT HOW TO INPUT IT TO THE GATE! THERE MIGHT NOT EVEN BE A CHANCE OF GETTING HER BACK WITHOUT CREATING A REVERSE SWITCH OR A GATE WHERE SHE'S AT... SHE'S STUCK THERE UNTIL WE FIND A WAY TO GET TO HER!"

"I DON'T CARE! JUST FIND A WAY TO GET MY DAUGHTER BACK-"

*Sniff*

Darren stops his shouting as he hears sniffing coming from his wife. He turns around to see her crying with her hands over her face, body trembling, and hurries over to her and wraps his arms around her in a comforting/protective like hold while rubbing her back soothingly.

"Hey hey, shh... It's alright hunny...Everything's gonna be OK... It'll be fine-" he was stopped mid sentence when his wife spoke up, hearing the one sentence he never thought she would ever say.

"I'm such a horrible mother..."

Darren unwrapped his arms from her and looked at her like she had gone insane. "What?! Don't say such a thing! You are not!" He tells her, holding her face lovingly. She shook her head, and held both of his hands with her own, gripping them gently,

"No, she was right, I've been neglecting her ever since he left and had my damn focus on my court work than focusing on the most important thing in my life! If I wasn't so work obsessed, she would still be here with us!" She exclaimed, tearing up even more while trembling slightly.

Darren, who started to tear up without even knowing when she mentioned Him, and nodded, "You... may have a point there, I too shouldn't have been so caught up in my job and projects, instead I should've had my attention on the one thing that made my life brighter... and now she's lost and probably hates me... but," He wipes the tears falling from his wife's eyes, that caused her mascara to run down her face, and looked her straight in the eye, having a serious face on,

"I promise you, me and the other workers will try and find a way to bring her back home! Even if it takes forever...I- No... I will make sure she gets home safely, then, we become the family she has always wanted!" He swore to her, placing his hand on his heart, tears now visible to her to see them running down his face rapidly.

Maura wipes her eyes, nods her head, and hugs her husband ever so tightly, like if she were to let go, he would fade and leave her all alone, as he did the same, afraid he would lose his wife forever. The moment lasted only for about a few minutes until a co-worker lightly tapped on Darren's shoulder. 

He turned and face him, straitened his posture, and nodded and followed him to work on getting his daughter home, leaving Maura to sit back down on the love seat and place her hands in her face, worrying about her lost daughter and regretting her mistakes.

Speaking of Krissten, let's get back to her shall we?

Krissten's Pov.

I kept walking, looking around until I stopped by one of those windows that have multiple TV's. I'm not even sure if I made it to the right place, how am I supposed to know if I made it to my destination?

What if I ended up in a different universe, or possibly ended up in real London instead of London in Eddsworld. There are multiple ways I had messed this up for me, and I was probably lost and alone...

But my questions were answered when a commercial TV screens,

"Cola with bacon, out now! And now back to your regularly scheduled program on Professor Why!"

...

Well, that answers that question. So I did end up in Eddsworld! This is fantastic, I've finally achieved my escape to a new life!
But one thought still remains,
