Tom's POV.

I couldn't sleep, I kept tossing and turning in bed. After trying to find a comfortable spot on the bed I gave up and got out. I looked over at my dresser and laid my eyes on my bass, Susan. I grabbed her and gently laced my fingers on the strings, making sure not to damage her.

I held her and sat for a little while until I began to play. The sound was soft at first, but it began to get more relaxing and loud like a lullaby being played by a band. I was so lost in the music, that I didn't even notice that I had woken someone up.

Krissten's POV.

I had put my headphones in and put on a song to fall asleep to before I went to bed.

I always put on songs that extended to an 10 hour loop, so the song doesn't end short. But about 30 minutes into the song, I thought I heard other music. So I paused the song, and realized that other music was playing as well. I knew only one person in this house of Eddsworld who is a musical genius...

Tom.

I shut off my phone and headset, and got out of bed quietly. I creeped down the hall to Tom's room, the music getting louder. I noticed the door was slightly ajar, and I peeked inside to see Tom playing his bass, Susan.

I smiled and careful opened the door making sure not to make a sound, and succeed.

I quietly stood in place watching him play, not creepy like, and waited until he finished. Once he ended the song I softly started to clap, which startled him and made him turn in my direction, "K-krissten?! W-what the hell are you doing up, and in my room?"

I stopped and gave him a patient smile, "I couldn't sleep and heard music so I decided to find out what it was..." I then looked down at his bass and my smile grew, "I guess I found the source, your really great at playing." I complimented him, causing his face to flare up in embarrassment.

He smiles and sheepishly rubs his neck, "Oh, um uh..." It looked like he was having trouble finding the right words, I guess no one has ever complimented him like that before. I sat down on his bed next to him, making him freeze and stare at me, "Do you think you can play some more for me? I thought it sounded really lovely."

He looked at me and gave me a soft smile, I never thought I would be seeing that kind of smile on him. He then started up another song, much more gentler than the last one. I listened to the music and became entranced in it, I didn't even notice my eyes getting heavy. Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep.

Tom's POV.

As I continued to play, I suddenly felt a small weight on my shoulder. I made the mistake of looking over, and witnessed something that made my heart almost explode. Krissten had fallen asleep on me! My face began to heat up, I just sat there like an idiot! *DO SOMETHING YOU ASSHOLE!* I screamed in my head, but my body couldn't move.

I finally felt the ability to move again, and gently set Susan down. I then picked up Krissten up in a bridal style position, got up, and without waking her, quietly walked to her room. As I entered, I made my way over to her bed and placed her on it. I pulled the covers over her and she snugged into the blankets for warmth.

I could feel my lips curl into a small smile, I hardly ever smile... But the sight of her makes me do so. She's just so... Cute. I looked around to see if anyone was watching, and once I made sure there were no peeking eyes, I leaned down and gave a small peck on her forehead. I leaned back up and saw her lips turn into a small smile, making me smile even bigger.

I quietly walk out of her room and carefully started to close the door before softly saying, "Goodnight Krissten." And then I closed the door.
