Valentine's Day<3

Where do I even start?

Okay so that morning my mom told me that my neighbor had to take me to school. I was just waiting and asking my mom if I could walk over, but she was saying she would ask her. My mom kept asking if I was going to put makeup on, and I thought it was weird, but didn't think much of it. I was holding Dakota's gift in my hand. We planned after rehearsals, that I had after school, to hang at his house and watch movies. I then realized that Dakota had an orthodontist appointment, so I could not meet him before class to give him his gift. I was trying to put his gift in my bag because I didn't want to hold it the whole day , but my mom said to just hold it. After I asked if I should walk over again, I realize I see Dakota's dad's car pulling up the driveway. I start freaking out.

I wait till Dakota comes up to the door and all the sudden I open the door to him holding a giraffe stuffed animal, bag with chocolates, and flowers. I was just so shocked and did not expect that, but then everything my mom was saying earlier started to make sense. Especially the makeup thing.

We then go into his car, we open our gifts, and we thank each other. Dakota actually did have an orthodontist appointment. For a minute there I was trying to figure out if that was a cover up for saying he wouldn't be at school,  but he still had one. Before we went to his appointment, we went to Waffle House. This day just couldn't get any better. 

When we went to the orthodontist, it started with Dakota's dad and I in the waiting room just having small talk. Then, he asked if he could go back with Dakota and I said that was fine. I am on my phone and all the sudden I see Dakota's dad trying to get my attention to come back there with them. When I go back there, Dakota is laying there, and his orthodontist was doing her job. She was a family friend and has known the Jacks for a while. Dakota's dad said, "They wanted to meet you. I was on my way to sit down by Dakota's dad and the orthodontist said, "So this is the girlfriend?" I was confused on how they introduced me before I came in, but then Dakota's dad was telling me  how he was wearing a flower in his hair that his little girls got him, and that lead to Dakota getting flowers for me. I was sitting there and the orthodontist was telling me how she knew the Jacks.

After that we went to Publix because Dakota's dad needed to get something for Dakota's mom. That was a short trip. We got to the car and we were on our way to school. I really didn't mind being late to school because obviously this was worth it. When we went to school we checked in and went to our classes. The rest of the day I was in such a good mood. In elementary school Valentine's Day was about making a colored box/bag and getting candy for classmates. Don't get me wrong I do miss that, but this was so much better. You look around at school and you see guys walking to their girlfriends and giving them their gifts. You see that one girl with a huge teddy bear. You see balloons tied on people's backpacks.  The whole day was just so happy and I never realized how cute Valentine's Day was till now.

After the whole school day I went to Rehearsals for 42nd Street, the musical I was in at the time, and I just could not wait to leave. Dakota and his parents picked me up and we went to pick up food from the restaurant to take to his house. We get to his house and we eat, then we take forever on picking a movie, but we finally did and that was IT. I have never seen the newer IT, so we decided on that. We both know it was not decided that easily, but I am just going to pretend that it was. We went down to his basement and he showed me it because I never been down there before. I had his hoodie and gave it back because it didn't smell like him, so when we sat on the couch he said, "Oh there's my hoodie. I wore it the past couple days, it is there if you want it." The simple things like that make me so happy. I know I say that a lot, but it's true.  We watched the movie and cuddled. Of course we had to be monitored by Alayna and Bella every once in a while,  but they weren't annoying about it. They are cute, so they get away with it. After the movie ended it was about time for me to go home. My mom picked me up and on the way home I told her everything that happened and I was still so happy from it. Just retelling this makes it seem like a fairytale
