Tulips

Pairing(s): Linny

3rd Person POV:

It was lunch. Luna and Ginny were out, sitting near the Black Lake. Luna was busy playing and braiding Ginny hair while they were chatting about non-sensical things.

After Luna told Ginny about all the evidence she has of Nargles being real, Ginny takes a deep breath and says, "I have something to tell you, Luna."

Luna didn't stop, just said, "What is it, Gin?"

"I...um...er... do you think that it is...er... weird for a girl to like a girl, as more than friends?"

Luna smiled and replied, "Of course not. Love is love. And if I did, I would be a big hypocrite."

"Yeah...", Gonny says nodding, until she realizes what Luna said. "What!?! You like girls?"

"Yeah. I hope it doesn't change anything."

"No it won't. I am also...um... a lesbian."

Luna moves from her position behind Ginny to look at her face and say, "I am so proud of you for accepting who you are,Gin. It takes a lot of courage. You really are a Gryffindor." She then goes back to braiding her hair and asks,"Which flowers do you like best?, Lilies, Tulips, Roses, Daisies...?"

"Any, you choose", Ginny said as she was looking for another ounce of that Gryffindor courage to tell Luna how she feels.

"Lun, there is another thing I need to tell you."

"Go ahead."

"I hope you don't hate me, but I like you, a lot. But I know you don't so it's fine, I'll go now."

Luma stops her from getting up and says, "Why are you going, don't you want my answer?"

"Okay", Ginny says, closing her eyes and waiting for the worst. But it never comes. Instead, she feels a soft pair of lips on hers and, after the initial shock cause Luna is kissing me!, Ginny kisses back with passion.

When they break apart, they both are smiling at each other. Luna kisses Ginny on the forehead before going to her position behind Ginny, braiding her hair.
Luna then says, "I think I'll use Tulips because they signify being hopelessly in love..."

Ginny blushes like crazy and her heart flutters. "Will you be my girlfriend?", she asks Luna.

"Without heaitation", she replies. By this time, Luna is done braiding Ginny's hair, so Ginny turns around and kisses Luna softly on the lips, feeling like she is on cloud nine.

And she loves it.

A/N: This was kind of rushed but turned out great, I think.
