O'Genesis trusged on through the dead leaves for miles, fog starting to appear, occupying her vision. As she carried her sister through the fog, strong wind whipping her face and hair, she trudged on, her speed now slower than before. A growl. "Not again." She said wearily. "Hm. Who's that present in the fog?" A female voice said. O'Genesis squinted her eyes to see a short figure and a creature, "Hello?" She called out. The figures neared them, the short figure was holding a bright lantern. "Ah, hello there, weary travelers." The figure called out.
The figures now were only 6 feet away from them and O'Genesis could now tell that the short person was female. The person wore a black cloak over a long, gray dress, her feet were not visible from under the dress. The person also wore black gloves and the hood on her cloak was drawn over her head. As the person and the creature came closer, O'Genesis could now see that the person had long, stark black hair, luminous green eyes and pallor skin.
"Hello, weary traveler." The person smiled with a bow. To O'Genesis, the person looked sbout 14 years old. " Hello." She replied. "What brings you to Endcross? I suspect you are a pretty good chess player." The girl smiled. "My sister, O'Jase brought us here..." O'Genesis said, trailing off, looking at her sister's calmly, sleeping face. "Ah, I see. She the lantern at the creature for a bit.
The creature was a huge bird about the size able to ride on. The bird had shimmery silver feathers, glowing green eyes and a sharp beak. "Is that..an Eagora?" The girl nodded, impressed, " How did you know?" O'Genesis really didn't know to tell her the truth, so she shrugged. "This is Alice, my Eagora. My name is Harley. Harley Estrelle." The girl named Harley said with a smile. "O'Genesis Namori. The girl in my hads is O'Jase Namori." "Pleasure to meet you both. Come come, rest at my mother's home until the fog and wind and possibly rain clear up." Harley said, climbing on Alice. "What do you mean rain?!" O'Genesis exclaimed. "In Endcross, fog and strong winds mean heavy rain. Acid rain." Harley held out her hand, which O'Genesis took while stabilizing her sister in one hand.
She sat behind Harley, who gently kicked Alice, who flapped off the ground and flew into the dark, starless sky. The only thing visible in the sky was a big, glowing moon in the shape of a white Queen. "Where are we going?" O'Genesis asked. "We're going to the city of Endcross. It's called Hollowfield." Harley answered.
A few hours later, Alice landed at a huge, silver gate branded with a big 'H' on it. "This is a town or a city?" O'Genesis asked uncertainly. "It's a city." Harley chuckled as the gates opened and Alice trotted in. Nobody roamed the streets of Hollowfield. "Everyone is asleep here except for a couple of people." Harley said as Alice trotted on through Hollowfield until making a sharp turn and a sharp left before coming to the darker part of Hollowfield. "This leads to my mother's home." Harley smiled as Alice advanced.
After a while, they came to a big, silver house surrounded by a tall, black fence. "This is my mother's home." Harley smiled and jumped off of Alice before helping O'Genesis down. Alice trotted away into the darkness while they walked up to the gate in which Harley opened and walked to the door. She opened it and walked in with O'Genesis in tow and as soon as she closed the door, rain began to poor, just like Harley had said.
