I found a way to keep this story going! :3 But first a message from our sponsors.---
When Honest returned home on Monday, December 3rd, 2018 after experiencing a pretty uneventful day of school, Snow ushered her into the house before she could open the door.
"Come look at this!" she exclaimed and picked up an envelope sitting on the counter top nearest the entrance. "Look what came in the mail!"
Honest took the envelope from her and reached inside. She pulled out a folded piece of paper. Upon unfolding it, Honest noticed the stamp on the outside of the envelope was from a faraway country. The paper contained a several paragraph long letter. It started with "Dear Snow". This was a letter from Snow's parents. Just so I don't have to bore you with three paragraphs of unneeded information, here is a summary of the most relevant points:Snow's parents received a confirmatory email with the details pertaining to the shutting-off of the water and electricity from their old home and were startled. They said that they would have no problem paying the utilities for Snow. So, Honest guessed, that meant they would be moving back? After all the packing they had to do? And after Silver almost broke everything again... :'(
Snow smiled. "I'm glad I got to keep the house. After all, it's the best place right now for everybody to get together!"
---"What are we celebrating again?" Honest asked the frantic but joyful pink hedgehog running around the kitchen of Snow's house.
"The new comic series being eleven issues strong... the start of December... something along those lines," Amy told her confidently despite not knowing exactly what they were celebrating. This morning she had decided herself that everybody was going to get together at Snow's house for a party/feast thing. Honest nodded, pretending to understand.
Amy saw through her robotic nods. "Look," she said, stopping what she was doing. "We don't get together nearly as much as we should. People of one kind should be together."
"But I'm a fan character," Honest pointed out gravely. Amy pulled a notepad and pen out of nowhere.
"We need you to record what happens in your story," she told her, smiling.
Honest looked at the sheet of paper. "'"What are we celebrating again?" Honest asked...'" she wrote. That's a lot of quotation marks.
A minute later, Rosy walked into the kitchen. "Can I help with something?" she asked. Amy turned around and, upon seeing her anti-self, immediately began to sweat.
"She's harmless right now. Give her something to do," Honest whispered to her.
"Uh, yeah! Let me see if there's-" Suddenly Rosy walked up to where Amy had been slicing up some peppers.
"Can I help with this?" she asked, reaching towards a knife that was stuck into the cutting board. She turned towards them. Both Honest and Amy panicked.
"No! I mean-" Amy remembered what Honest had said and trusted her. "G-Go ahead. When you finish put them in-" She fished around in a cabinet. "This bowl." She placed the bowl next to Rosy.
Scourge walked into the kitchen carrying an empty glass. Amy turned around and saw him. "Oh! Did you want something more to drink?" she asked him, trying to forget about Rosy. He lifted the glass up and spoke.
"No, this is for Fiona. It was Chaos Cher-"
Honest heard Scourge's voice. "No!" she exclaimed, turning around. He might trigger some sort of-
A knife went flying through the air. It hit the cup in Scourge's hand and pieces of glass showered onto the floor. It stuck in the front of the refrigerator behind him.
...Reaction.
Scourge didn't say anything as his mouth hung open. He looked up at Rosy, who had turned around. "I'm sorry. My hand slipped," she stated flatly.
Honest was gaping just as Scourge was. She hadn't freaked out. Maybe it --was-- possible for her and Scourge to act calmly around each other.
Oh yeah, and that had been particularly scarring and afterwards everybody was very concerned for the king's safety.
---"To Sonic!" Amy called, lifting up her glass of Chaos Cola.
"To Sonic!" everybody shouted afterwards.
"To me?" Sonic asked, pointing to himself and beaming.
"No, to the franchise," Amy said, sighing. They were all sitting at Snow's dining table around the food that Amy and Rosy had successfully made together. Honest was still ecstatic about the pink rat and green pineapple possibly getting along, but dismissed it temporarily as she enjoyed the food.
Suddenly, Honest noticed that Rosy was giving Scourge a piercing stare from across the table. Honest watched them cautiously as she still didn't trust that Rosy wouldn't suddenly pull out her hammer in a manic rage.
Despite sensing that she was in a rare mood earlier, Scourge was now paralyzed with fear.
"Amy, you and Rosy did a great job," said Sonic suddenly from down the table.
Suddenly tiny, slobber-covered particles were sprayed everywhere as Silver attempted to exclaim "Great!" through a mouthful of food he had been in the process of chewing.
A chain of sighs erupted from the table as they performed the Wave with their rolling eyes.
---Later, Sonic got the crazy idea that some people should stay over in all the extra rooms Snow had. Snow was standing near the base of the stairs when he revealed to her his plan.
"But some of those rooms no one's been in for years," she explained. Honest ran up to them, her tail a ribbon of fluff behind her.
"We cleaned them in that one chapter of {Cafe Edition}, remember? And besides," she said enthusiastically, the atmosphere of the room improving dramatically. "This will be an amazing opportunity for character and plot development!!"
Snow sighed and turned around, walking into the dining room where everybody was, talking amongst themselves still. "Hey! Who all thinks that staying the night in the extra rooms would be a great idea?"
A great number of people raised their hands. There were some that didn't, though.
"Hey, what if there's a mystery?!" came Vector's ear-grating voice.
"Mʏ sᴇɴsᴏʀs ɪɴᴅɪᴄᴀᴛᴇ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴛʜᴇ Dᴏᴄᴛᴏʀ ɪs ᴄᴜʀʀᴇɴᴛʟʏ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍɪɴɢ ᴏғ ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋɪɴɢ," came Omega's robotic voice.
"You have a sensor for that?" Sonic asked, narrowing his eyes at the metalline visitant.
"The Club can't run itself," Rouge said blatantly.
Suddenly Sonic zipped off. He returned with a hammer and a spoon. "I put 'Do Not Disturb' signs on the doors of Club Rouge and the Chaotix Detective Agency, and put sugar under Egghead's pillow to ensure he only has sweet dreams tonight."
The alligator, robot, and bat nodded now, signalling that they were content and could stay the night. Sonic smiled and Snow let out a puff of air. "Please pick up after yourselves." As Snow left the room, most of the other Sonic characters began to disperse as well, heading up the two staircases in lines.
Shadow was happy about all of the people in the house tonight because that meant that Sonic would be too busy with everyone else that he wouldn't bother him at all. Wait, did I just type "Shadow was happy"? That's different. Once at the second floor, Shadow turned the corner and ducked into his room, wanting to check that Honest hadn't set up camp in there or anything. He turned on the light and immediately sighed.
Sonic was sitting on the edge of his bed.
"So, since everyone else is off playing dumb fanfiction games, how about we-"
Slam.
"Hey!" the blue hedgehog yelled, pounding on the opposite side of the door. "What gives?"
He didn't receive an answer. Sonic kicked the door. "How come he's making this so difficult?" he whispered to the wood of the door. The door only stood there silently.
Sonic turned around and was about to leave when all of a sudden Shadow opened his door again, this time to shove a blond cat out into the hallway with him.
She looked at the door just as Sonic had done. "Have it your way!" She shook her fist.
Sonic blinked. "Honest?" The cat turned around and, upon seeing him, brightened up.
"Oh, hey, Sanzic!" she exclaimed, laughing. "Let me guess-- Shadow kicked you out for the same reason."
Sonic thought a moment. "No? At least, I hope so," he told her.
Honest smiled. "I know what you were doing. I'm the author, remember? Yeah, I can see how you'd be worried about that, but I'm seventeen, you know," she said, turning around.
"Yeah, well I'm ten years older than you," he said in a downcast manner.
Honest laughed and turned around again. "But do you ever become more mature, or are you still fifteen in the head?"---
I'm going to have to end this chapter here because it is getting too long. Thank you for reading, and vote for this chapter if you enjoyed it. Also, if you could add this to your reading lists, I would really appreciate it. See you in the next part.
PS: Someone remind me to draw a picture of Amy instructing Rosy on how to chop peppers.
