Fate of Two Worlds

Fourteen - The Undead Wasteland

Natasha then walked on to the grey ground, closely followed by Lightning. She then stopped and turned to face Lightning. "What's the matter?" Lightning asked. "Do you ever get the feeling like your being watched Mum" Natasha replied.

As they were talking it watched them, closely studying there moves and motives, trying to figure out who they were. While it continued to watch them it noticed several changes in the weather and after a few seconds re-focused on Lightning and Natasha.

As they looked at the two women several soldiers looked at their commander. "Commander Isonhour, we have found two people wondering the wasteland" One soldier said as he approached Isonhour. "They appeared through the use of a warp gate. Which means they might be Halo Children." Isonhour said before he moved to the edge of a cliff face. "Men find out who they are" Isonhour ordered before climbing into a small transport.

Lightning and Natasha then began to walk near a large ruined town in the wasteland. "There's a castle on the cliff" Natasha said. Lightning then looked at the cliff and saw the edge of a large white marble castle on the cliff's edge. "That might be where this Azazel person is" Lightning replied. Above the castle large storm clouds hung over, blocking all sun light from it. However the marble still glowed brightly as if the sun was shining on to the castle. Natasha looked up and saw a large creature that was made up of bones near an old shop. "What's that" she asked, looking at Lightning for a answer. Lightning didn't reply. Instead she removed her gun-blade from it's case and put it in blade mode. Natasha then did the same and walked towards the ruined shop. Several skeletons then appeared from behind the ruins and looked at Natasha and Lightning. "This is new" Lightning and Natasha said in unison. The large bone creature then began to move towards them.

"Commander Isonhour, we have detected large amounts of movement" a soldier said to him before they looked  at the town ruins. "We have looked for the women's files and can't find anything on them" another soldier replied. "Inform Ghost Sector Command that there are two women in the Undead Wasteland" Isonhour said. "Yes sir" A soldier saluted before walking away.

By this time Natasha and Lightning were being surrounded by skeletons and bone dragons. "Natasha, call Odin." Lightning shouted to her while avoiding some skeletons. "Why can't you" Natasha shouted back. "Because i'm a little busy at the moment" Lightning replied as she elbowed a skeleton's head off the rest of it's body. After a few minutes the skeletons were leaving and returning to the ruins. Natasha then held her left hand up to her right shoulder and then a pink flash surrounded her hand. As Natasha opened her hand a small pink crystal rose floated above her skin. She then threw the rose into the air and she then jumped after it. Natasha then slashed the crystal with her gun-blade while she continued to gain height. After a few seconds a large pink circle appeared and then a figure appeared in it. Natasha then began to fall and then the figure grabbed her and threw her back into the air. After doing a mid air somersault Natasha landed on her feet with the figure behind her. "Odin find the way out of here" Natasha told the figure before she started to walk towards a ruined bank. The figure then jumped into the air and disappeared. Several skeleton warriors then appeared from a old dumpster and went straight for Lightning, who was occupied with some other skeletons that were fighting her. The skeletons that surrounded Lightning then flew into the air and landed all over the riuns. Where Lightning was standing a large cone made out of ice now appeared. The cone then broke apart, revealing Lightning standing in the centre of where the base of the cone was. "Mum. Something just appeared." Natasha said, looking at a large stone stair case that went up towards the cliffs and castle. "That's the only way to the castle. And more of these skeletons are appearing." Lightning replied as she ran towards the large stone staircase. Natasha then followed her up the staircase until they reached the gleaming white marble gatehouse at the front of the castle. "Lower the gate. That should stop these things." Lightning shouted to Natasha. As they grabbed a large handle Natasha and Lightning began to wind it, lifting a large drawbridge until it locked and stopped raising.
