(A/N if I told you this was unedited would u be surprised??)

Emma Chamberlain

Monday at school is a weird vibe, everyone is whispering about Saturday nights party and the bad boys are no where to be seen.

"Looks like we're in the aftermath of a natural disaster. What did I miss, my god" Olivia says towards me looking around sheepishly at the awfully quiet students.

The bell rings but I don't feel like leaving my best friends yet. The bad boys burst through the doors front entrance like something from a movie, and I can't bare to watch.

As I pass a girl group I hear their conversation,

"Yeah and apparently he fought off a man with a gun WITH A KNIFE and he got shot in the stomach AND he's alive and in school"

"Ethan Dolan did?"

"Yeah, isn't he hot"

The girls begin to drool and the rumour begins to spread.

By the middle of the day all the teachers and students actually believe that Ethan had been shot, and obviously I was the only person who knew different.

Ethan was walking round as normal with his earphones in, and like every other rumour spread about him he didn't say a word to diffuse it.

It made me wonder whether everything I'd ever heard about him had any truth to it at all. Surely it had to come from somewhere. Just like the imaginary gunshot wound had come from a REAL gun fight.

That I definitely knew.

Next lesson was theatre and my teacher Miss Hough was really in the mood to do improvisation. She was dancing around doing big hand actions. Amanda and I share a glance of worry for her sanity before turning back to stare at her in confusion.

"-and that's why we use soundscapes within pieces. Does anyone know where Mr Dolan is?" Miss Hough asks interrupting herself and her busy talking.

"I'm here Miss" says a voice turning the corner and stepping into the staged area.

There is no apology for being late and there is no acknowledgement from Miss Hough that he needs one and I wondered whether that's why Ethan excelled in theatre-

because no one expected anything of him.

Miss Hough scans the pupils in front of her and decides she wants to control who they are each working with.

I'm put with Ellie and given the topic of two women who are after the same man. Ellie comes up with the idea of changing our names and she picks to be called Juniper and I choose Amy to try and stick with an average name to balance out Ellie's weird one.

The improvisation goes well because Ellie is a high level drama student as am I and our final piece comes out better than I could've imagined.

When Miss Hough pulls the class together as a group she tells us it's time to preform.

I notice that Ethan has been paired with a boy called Justin and I can only wonder what their topic of conversation is.

Miss Hough calls Amanda and her partner up to the stage. They do an improv on the lead up to a car crash. The plot is weak, but I'd never say anything and Miss Hough claps and seems to like it.

Me and Ellie are called up, the class goes silent as always which is usually a positive and shows how intently they're watching.

I put my all into it as always, whilst also looking calm and chill and like I could do it in your sleep. The class applauds and there's a few whistles as we bow and give each other a brisk hug and walk of the stage.
