ELARA
♾♾♾♾♾"Keep up,"
Sterling is right at my heels as we push ourselves to keep going— to keep moving.
The crash site wasn't much further. Once we arrive there, we'll be able to get backup. This war against the grounders might have been delayed longer with Ravens rocket trick, but that won't stop them. It's just like the bridge.
Delay.
Monroe stops in her tracks.
"Did you hear that?"
"What?" I ask.
She point up ahead of us. "There's someone in the bushes,"
I pull my knife out from my boot. "Stay here," I whisper to them. I suck in a breath before pushing myself to move.
It was morning by now. We had been out here all night while the others stayed back, defending what was left of our camp.
I'm not sure who is still alive— or if anyone is for that matter.
Leaves crunch under my feet as I step closer to where Monroe had saw something. It was getting cooler out these days. The leaves were decaying and falling off of the trees in bright yellows and dark oranges and red.
I clutch my knife tightly as I whip around to the other side of the bush, shoving who was behind it against a tree and placing my knife to their throat.
Their brown eyes locked with mine and that's when I realize the familiar flecks of gold around the edges where the sun hits them.
I almost choke out a sob as I say their name.
"Bellamy?"
I lower the knife and wrap my arms around his neck. For a moment he hesitates, unsure of what was going on. But after a moment he melts into the hug, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Bellamy, what're you doing here?"
We pull apart at the sound of Monroe's voice. Her and Sterling watch us carefully as we step away from one another.
"She's right, why aren't you back at camp. Did the plan work? I mean we saw the fire but didn't know if—"
Bellamy cuts me off, "It worked, but there's no time to explain the rest. Everyone except you three, Finn and my sister made it into the drop ship,"
"Finn and Octavia aren't. . ."
Bellamy shakes his head. "No, at least not when I saw them last. Lincoln is with O and I've been tracking Finn for the past few hours now,"
"What? Why?" Sterling asks.
"Before Raven torched the place, Finn and I ran. The grounder we were fighting followed us though. He took Finn,"
"Do you know where?"
"They're on foot,"
"Okay," I say nodding. "Lets go rescue Finn,"
