ELARA
♾♾♾♾♾

"Finn!"

"Finn!"

It was the muffled screams that my mind could hear but my body was too stubborn to awaken itself.

For a moment it felt as though I was back on the Ark, laying on my bed.

But then, something shakes me back to reality.

"Elara," A familiar voice touches the side of my face gently. I sit up and wince when I notice the pain coursing through my jaw. "Elara are you okay? Where's Finn and Murphy?"

I look at Bellamy but the sound of gun fire causes my eyes to widen and my stomach to sink.

"Oh no,"

♾♾♾

Rapid gun fire fills the small village as Bellamy and I race down the streets and around a few buildings. I hadn't notice before but Octavia and a blonde girl who appeared to be Clarke, follow closely behind us.

The shooting stops and that's when our eyes meet the scene of a massacre. Bodies doubled over on the ground laying in pools of blood.

Murphy was the first to turn around, meeting our terrified gazes. He shakes his head as if he has no idea what had just happened. That's when Finn looks over, instantly spotting Clarke.

Octavia rushes past Bellamy and I to help one of the wounded- who just so happened to be a child.

"What did you do?" I let out a breath unable to tare my eyes from the dying boy who laid lifeless in Octavia's arms.

Clarke's face was paler than usual as she stared at Finn. He takes a step towards her but she only backs away.

The corners of Finns mouth turn upright as a relived smile crosses his cold face.

"I found you," he says.

I found you.

After practically dragging Finn out of the grounder camp we decided to head back to our people.

We've only been walking for a short amount of time which meant that we were all still reeling from what happened. I tried to take a few deep breaths but I knew what I had to do in order to calm myself down.

I stop walking, then so does Bellamy and soon everyone else has stopped and are looking back at me.

"You okay?" Bellamy asks.

My eyes shoot over to Finn who stands there clutching his gun. "Finn, give me the gun," I order him.

"What-?"

"Give me the damn gun right now!" I shout at him.

"No way," he says calmly.

I nod and walk towards him. "Fine, lets compromise then." I nail him in the face with my fist and knock him to the ground.

I grab his gun and stand back up checking to see how many rounds he had left in the clip. Two.

Two.

Finn was kneeling on the ground now holding the left side of his face. "Elara, what the hell?"

The others watch silently as I turn back to him. "That was for knocking me unconscious," I say. I take his gun and hand it to Bellamy. After a short pause, I turn back and hit Finn once more.

He stumbles back in shock. "And that was for what you did to those people back there,"

"Alright Elara, thats enough," Bellamy says. He puts a hand on my shoulder but I shake it off.

"Don't you ever hit me again," I spit at Finn before walking past the group to be on my own.

I hear a set of foot steps jog up next to me.

"What the hell happened back there?" Bellamy asks. I shake my head not wanting to answer. "Elara, stop."

I stop in my tracks and face him. "What do you want me to say, Bellamy? That this whole thing isn't my fault? I should've stopped him the second he stepped foot in that grounder village but I didn't. So it is because of me that those people are dead. I couldn't stop him, Bellamy. Is that what you want to hear?" I pinch the bridge of my nose and let out a sight. "This is my fault. I should've— I should've—,"

"Hey, look at me. This is not your fault. You didn't know what Finn was capable of doing, known of us knew," Bellamy looks back at the others who have almost caught up to us. Finn still massages the side of his face along with his newly split lip.

"What the hell are we gonna do now?"

Bellamy shuts his eyes for a brief moment before looking back down at me. "I don't— I don't know. But what I do know is that this isn't your fault, Elara. We'll get back to camp and we'll figure out what to do with Finn then, okay?"

I nod as his places a hand on my shoulder and gives it a squeeze. The gesture was enough to calm my nerves for the rest of the trip back— but the images of bloodied grounders and the psychopathic glint in Finns eyes will be something that haunts my dreams.
