I tie the knotted seatbelt tightly around Bellamy's waist. "You be careful, okay?" He nods and backs over to the edge while the rest of us grab ahold of the seatbelt.

"Alright, slowly ease up," Murphy says from the front of the line.

Without question, we do just that and let the newly makeshift rope slide through our fingers carefully. We do this for a few moments as Bellamy walks his way down the side of the crater to Mel.

The rope slides a little faster. "Easy, guys," I say.

"He's almost there," Murphy calls back.

The further we lower Bellamy into the canyon the more relief I begin to feel, knowing that we almost got her and that soon we all will be back out of harms way for the mean time.

"Okay, he's got her. Hold on,"

I close my fingers around the rope to keep it steady.

"Pull us up!" Bellamy's voice shouts up to us.

Murphy nods and we begin to pull. "Don't worry, I got you Bellamy. I'm not gonna let you fall."

"Murphy, just pull." Finn grunts.

We continue to tug the rope back, pulling Bellamy and Sterling's friend Mel up to safety.

I feel a slight breeze pass my left ear with a whirl. At first it seemed almost like nothing until there was another whirl of wind that passed my right side and this time Monroe yelp in pain.

Her sudden outburst causes her to let go of the rope. Finn and I fall forward as the seatbelts unbuckle leaving Murphy holding all five of us together.

Mel screams and I can hear Bellamy call up to us wondering what the hell is going on.

"Grounders!" Monroe exclaims.

More arrows are whizzing past us as Finn and I scramble to our feet to help Murphy. Monroe turns on her stomach and opens fire on our enemy.

"Hang on Bellamy!"

"I can't see them!" Monroe yells to us. I look back at her bloodied leg. She continues to fire.

I tap Finn and he nods passing me a gun as him and Murphy continue to pull the rope. I let go and join Monroe in firing our guns at the invisible grounders.

"Aim for the trees!" I yell to her.

Monroe grunts through the pain and aims her gun for the tree line.

Looking through the scope of my gun I am able to take down one of the grounders aiming their bow and arrow at us. I look back and notice Monroe had stopped firing. She now is holding her leg.

"Shit," I grab onto her and try to pull her out of the way but there was nowhere to go. The grounders have us backed up to this crater.

"Try aren't gonna make it up here!" I hear Murphy call out. "We need to cut them loose!"

"Like hell you are! Keep pulling!" I order Murphy as I continue to shoot.
