Chapter VIII

Marie's voice was heard and I began to walk towards her. So did Dempsey. I was confused as well as the fact that Olivia has been acting strange again. Marie was in the kitchen with a towel over her for some reason, and was looking out the window.
"So what's up, Marie?" Dempsey was the first to ask. She kept staring like she seen something or someone.
"I-I think I saw something." She replies almost hesitant. This confuses me. I began to hear something that was coming from the bathroom, but I didn't move an inch.
"What do you mean you saw something? Was it a zombie." Dempsey asked again, almost sounding impatient. It was quiet a second, till Marie replied.
"I thought I did but I think I'm see things." Dempsey sighed almost in relief and annoyance.
"Well that's pointless. Marie, is everything okay? You seemed strange this morning and when I woke you up you spoke pretty darn fast." Dempsey explained. He sounded like he gave a damn about her.
"I'm fine. I just had a nightmare. That's all." She replied. She sounded like she was lying. I began to curiously walk away as into the bathroom where I swore I hear a door closing. This house isn't haunted. I know it. I heard the shower turning on and I began knocking on the door and began asking.
"Olivia, is everything alright. I feel as if something isn't right. I just know it." There was silence. I was about to knock again and began to feel hesitant. Maybe she probably was busy just cleaning herself. Maybe, but I feel a sense of dread that something was fishy. Instead of knocking, I spoke up again.
"Olivia, I just...I just want to know if everything is okay. You just looked...scared." Then, it was silence again. This time, I began to get worried. She wasn't replying to me. Then the shower stopped but what followed after that was a loud bang. Something hit the floor, and I knew it wasn't a hair brush or any towels that fell. I sounded like a person that fell. And when that indication took its toll in my head, I opened the door to find Olivia on the floor, passed out. My heart sank to the bottom.
"Olivia!!" I panicked. I picked her up from the floor and began examining her, checking to make sure nothing severe happened that I could've spotted like a bite mark, but just found a bruise on her arm and mainly her back, but what else I found was that I noticed that her breasts were somehow...bigger. I then blushed, feeling hot on my face, but the worry grew immensely for me and I had no time to think of such a dirty thought. I lifted her off from the floor and carried her to the bed. Footsteps came close and there was Dempsey.
"What the fuck happened?" He spoke, then noticing the unconscious Olivia.
"It's Olivia. I think she fainted."
"Will she be okay."
"Nein-well...ja. Don't worry. She just passed out." Then, I heard heavy breathing.
"Tank," Marie sounded high pitched as she was breathing. I looked out to see Marie, looking dizzy," I think I'm gonna..." she was about to fall, until Dempsey caught her before she fell face-first.
"Marie!" Dempsey cried as he shook her, trying to wake her up. Dempsey started to sweat.
"Oh shit. Oh shit, oh god, what the fuck is going on?!" He growled, but with worry in his voice and in his eyes.
"I don't know. I have to tell Maxis." I quickly replied. Footsteps belonged to Nikolai and Takeo, as they both ran downstairs towards us.
"Guys, I think the other guys passed out." Nikolai spoke, seriously, as he gestured his thumb behind him, pointing upstairs.
"Shit. Seriously?!" Dempsey retorted.
"Edward, what is happening? What are we going to do?" Takeo asked worryingly.
"I'm going to find Maxis. Dempsey put Marie in bed. I'll see what I can do." I commanded and obliges, with no hesitation, picking the unconscious Marie and left. I opened the basement door and descended downstairs to find Maxis, reading the book.
"Maxis, I need you help. It's the crew-"
"I know what's going on. It appears there beginning to be into what they have become previously." He replies. I was baffled, confused, and I asked him.
"What are you saying, Maxis?" I muttered softly.
"I'm saying that they have received their post revelations powers that they were meant to have while they we at Antarctica. According to the book here, it mentions the Raven knights who are powerful warriors at the time and they required powers in their fit to conquer and fight in protection. These Raven knights use their powers to protect their kingdom and their sacred place of their right, and their people. Olivia, required the powers from the Moon, Marie, powers from the Sun, Jefferson, Earth, and Drostan, the Sky. These four beings used their gifts to fight and banish evil and had been doing so ever since. Now that there powers are required back to them, it seems to appear that the gifts, changed their bodies, and because of this, their side effects don't come into play later on, which I assumed it happened up there as I heard all of the commotion." He explained. I was perplexed and shocked. So that's why Olivia was acting strange.
"Does she know about this?" I questioned, still speaking softly, but also with little fear.
"I would assume so. But she didn't come to me about it." Maxis replied. I figured she knew, which angered me in a way, but it was understandable, but still.
"I say you should let them rest. When they wake up, I'll make sure that I know of this."
"Don't worry about it Maxis. I'm pretty sure they know fully well of the history, and they should remember what went down. I'll take care of the situation."
"If you say so. Besides, you do like her? Olivia?" He asks. I then looked down, blushing again. Maxis took notice of it, smiled, and responded.
"It seems that both of you have grown attached to each other. I'm not surprised." He chuckles and I began ascending upstairs after thanking Maxis. I closed the door and went back. Olivia is going to have to come clean about the whole thing. One way or another. I promised her that I would help her in every way possible, even if it seemed impossible. Well, I didn't matter. I supposed that I should go easy on her since she might still have some side effects to her that might make her either tired or sick. Either way, I have to at least cool myself. At least it wasn't life threatening. More like life changing. Who knows how long this will take but I'm sure the they needed rest after what just happened. Dempsey appeared in the doorway.
"So, was everything good?" He mummers.
"Of course yes. How is Marie?" I ask of Dempsey.
"As far as I can tell, she seems fine. Now I'm just wondering when she'll wake up."
"Soon, Dempsey. Soon. Let her rest. The rest probably need some too." I replied. Dempsey nods.
"Right. Thanks." Dempsey then leaves which makes me and Olivia alone for now.
