As we rushed to the secluded building, we baracaded the door with a couch and hammered wooden planks on the front door and all windows.
"We should be safe for now." I announced. The new team got settled and so did I. I kept staring at the French girl. I could tell, deep in her eyes that she despises me. I wasn't surprised at the slightest, since Nikolai once hated me, but that was history. Olivia went upstairs and I creeped, following her but not as much, since there was a room that I was interested in. A study room full of papers and journals. Curiosity took a toll and I sat down, scanning through the papers and pages of the journal. It was like a novel, I was reading and I was somewhat attached to it.
"Hey, Richtofen. You good?"
"Of course, Dempsey. I'm alright."
"It seems like Olivia despises you. I wonder why she's acting like that."
"Because she's French and I'm German. We're opposites on different sides. It's no surprise though, since all French's hate Germans."
"Damn, well, that does make sense. I guess.
"Don't worry, in time, she will shrug it off."
"Well, good luck with that. She's a tough cookie, and I don't think a woman like her would shrug something off from the fact that you're a different race."
"I don't care. I happens all the time."
"I guess. I'm starting to have mixed feelings for Marie."
"Aww. That the fact you're in love with her."
"Hey. Leave me be. It's just...she's..she's kinda hot." Dempsey blushed.
"Figures."
"Besides, a guy like me should sweep off a woman like her. She's my kind of gal."
"Uh huh sure." I nodded.
"I do have to ask you about something, I notice you were staring at Olivia, right when we were getting settled in, do you have feelings for her?" Dempsey asked. Do I? She probably doesn't love me, but I can't help this crave I have. Why am I in love with her. In her philosophy, she's hates German so she's suppose to hate Germans, but what does that makes me think about her. Surely I don't hate her like most of my people because of her race. I don't mind about French women, but it's no secret that they despise Germans. I wasn't sure, but I couldn't help the fact that I am in love with her, despite her having a deep hatred of me.
"I'm not sure." I replied. Dempsey shrugs.
"Well, I'll be downstairs." He walks away. I began to think about Olivia, and so, I put the papers and journal down and walked towards the room where Olivia was. I entered her forbidden room, when I caught the sight of her sleeping. I smile and leaned on the doorway watching her. She was a heavy sleeper, which is good when your in the enemies room. She was no enemy though. In my eyes no, but I suppose she sees me as an evil figure.
"Edward." I jumped. Good thing it was Takeo. I didn't want Olivia's team to catch me spying on Olivia.
"Takeo. I didn't hear you coming." I mummer.
"You know that it's impolite to spy on a woman." Takeo reminds me.
"I'm just watching. Only for a little bit."
"Come along now. Nikolai wants us downstairs."
"Right." I mummer as we walked downstairs and into the living space.
"Where's Olivia?" Marie asked.
"I spotted her resting. Leave her be for now. We'll tell her what's going on tomorrow." I replied.
"Right. Anyways, you said there's a dimension of a paradise?" Marie asked.
"The perfect world. Yes. There the world is free from the zombies. No sign of them anywhere. It is called paradise."
"And there's a house?"
"That is inhabitant of us. Yes, but we are children in that world."
"Children?" Jefferson questions.
"Yeah. Technically, we killed one of our self's so that our soul can be sent to the house and the souls of us, the children, will live there for the remainder of time." Dempsey explained.
"Woah. That's dark." Drostan awed.
"Yes. It is, but it is necessary." I spoke.
"So what, you want us to kill one of ourselves so that our souls can turn into us, but children versions of us?" Marie asked.
"That is entirely up to you. Wether you believe is the right way to do or not. We simply did it because it has said so in the kronorium." I replied.
"The what now?" Jefferson alarmed and in confusion.
"Kronorium. It is a book that foretells what we do in order to get into a certain pathway, what it will say in the future and what we must do." Nikolai explains.
"So you followed a book?" Drostan questions confused.
"As crazy as that sounds. Yeah. We did." Dempsey sighs.
"I see. How does it work?" Marie asks.
"Usually. Something will come as it needs to be. It is a course of action that commands us what we must do. It will change if something goes wrong." I informed.
"So, the book has its will." Drostan confirmed.
"Pretty much. Yeah." Dempsey replied.
"Hmm. How did you get your souls then?" Jefferson spoke.
"Edward has this....this...uhh...fuck what was it? It's a spherical ball that has symbols on the sides, I forgot. Fuck." Dempsey was having a hard time thinking and remembering. I jumped in.
"The Summoning key. It is an artifact that can preserve anything or anyone's souls. To keep it safe."
"Yeah. Like what he said. God my memory fucking sucks ass." Dempsey growled in annoyance.
"You're memory is bad?" Marie asks.
"You'll have to mind, Dempsey. His memory is sometimes fuzzy." I spoke.
"Well, most of the time, giving the fact that every information I remember just flys over my head and the fact that my fucking head sucks dick." He growls.
"Damn, that's rough." Jefferson spoke remorseful.
"Eh. It's fine. I'm use to it. It's not like I have a dyslexic tongue and that I can't speak words and can't get every sentence right." Dempsey replies.
"Anyways we should all get some rest. I'll be on the look out." Takeo spoke as he grabbed his samurai sword and pistol.
"I'll go with you Takeo." Nikolai followed Takeo from behind.
"While you guys do that I'm gonna get some rest." Dempsey yawned.
"Same." Marie sighed.
"I'll be on the look out too." Jefferson reply, and heads upstairs with the other two.
"Hey Marie, what do you say you and me be on the scout tomorrow?" Dempsey sways, trying to impress Marie. She took a notice of it.
"Are you trying to pick me up on something?" She asked jokingly, cocking an eyebrow.
"I don't know. I could use a girl like you to help me out with things." Dempsey cooed, smirking. Marie nods while smiling.
"Uh huh. Sure. Alright. Well do it tomorrow." Marie replied and they headed upstairs. I went up to see Olivia. I took a quick peak, to make sure she was there, and headed off to rest

I walked away from Olivia, after the short talk. Obviously she still hates me, but I don't care. Both Marie and Dempsey headed off to scout grounds. I then went to the study room to write  down my day. I can't get any better than this.
