Apples, Rainbows, and a Gem (Appledash/Rarijack Fanfic)

Chapter 1: Sleepover

~Rainbow Dash POV~

Applejack and I had confessed our feelings to each other. It was one of the happiest moments of my life. Just the thought of her made my heart stutter. Her emerald green eyes and orange coat was so simple yet stunning. I loved everything about AJ.

I was in my cloud house which had cost me a small fortune. My room was covered in Wonderbolts posters and merchandise. It was a master bedroom plenty big enough for one pony. I sighed. If only somepony else could share it with me.

I walked out of my bedroom and to the kitchen. Rummaging through the almost barren cupboards I found some oats. I poured them into a bowel then added some milk. Eating I decided to go talk to AJ. Quickly I finished eating and put my bowl in the sink.

I took off through then open bay window in the living room. Flying over Ponyville I saw Fluttershy and Discord in the marketed buying food for their animals. Discord had moved in with Fluttershy at Princess Celestia's wishes.  Looking at them I felt a pang of longing in my chest. Oh how badly I wanted unconditional love like theirs.

~AJ POV~

I was bucking apples in the East Orchard when Dash landed next to me. She smiled at me which I gladly returned.

I stopped my work and walked up to her. Giving Dash a hug I blushed. We'd already told eachother our feelings but we hadn't taken it any further than a couple of kisses.

"How ya doin' Dashie?" I asked using my personaly nickname for her.

"I'm doing great! Do you want any help with the apples?" Dashie asked.

I nodded, glad to have somepony help me. I learned that lesson long ago. We bucked apples for a few hours before we were done. Then we plopped down on the grass exhausted from working.

"So AJ," Dashie looked at me with her stunning eyes, "How about a sleepover at my house? I've had it solidified so earth ponies can walk on it," I thought for a moment. How would I even get up there? What does she have in mind?

"Alright," I said, "Ah just hafta grab some stuff from the house then we can go," I said. Getting up, I looked at her. Dashie's rainbow mane was always tousled from the wind. Most ponies looked weird with their hair everywhere but somehow Dashie made it work.

I went to the house and grabbed my brush and ponytail. I went back outside to see Dashie laying on her back staring up at the sky. She hopped up once she heard my hoofsteps.

"You ready to go?" She asked me excitedly.

"Ah sure am," I stated. Slightly blushing at her excitedness.

"Hop on my back and then I'll fly you up to my place," Dashie said as she was lowering herself down so I could hop on.

Once I was safely on her back Dashie took off. Flying was exhilarating. The wind blowing through my mane and tail reminded me of running except it was much smoother.

Withing moments we arrived at her house. It was absolutely stunning matching the mare I had just flown with. The house had columns and a rainbow falling from the side. The cloud was soft beneath my feet. When I looked back at Dashie she was motioning me to follow her inside.

I exhaled deeply, preparing myself for whatever my Dashie had in mind for tonight.
