I was walking to my next class with Veronica, our arms linked, when I saw him. He had that dark curly hair that just fit on his head perfectly.

He looked in my direction and I couldn't breathe.  I turned to Veronica. "Hey, who's that guy over there?" I was staring at him.

"Who?" She looked at who I was referring to. "Oh, him." She looked at me like I was crazy, then it turned to concern. "Okay, one, why him? And two, his name is Daniel." Daniel.

"Can we go talk to him?" I looked at him again. Veronica laughed.

"Seriously?" She asked. I nodded and walked away from her, towards him.

"Hi." I said, leaning against the locker beside him. He looked at me, then all around us, like this was a prank or something.

   "Hello?" He said, cautiously.

I smiled. "You're cute." I mentally slapped myself.

"What?" His eyebrows were creased in confusion. Great, he looked even cuter.

   "N-Nothing." I stuttered. He smirked.

"Okay. Can I help you though?" He asked.

   "No, well I mean, yeah."

"With? If you need a tutor, I'm no longer open." I laughed. He looked at me, confused.

   "I don't need a tutor." I told him.

"Oh, then what's up?" I didn't know what to say to that question.

"Alissa?" I heard Veronica's voice ask. She glanced at Daniel, then looked back at me. "Don't you think we should get to our next class?" She shot me a fake smile.

I heard Daniel laughing, and looked in his direction. "What?" I asked.

He looked at me, his arms crossed. "Nothing. Nothing at all." He was smiling. I was about to say something, but Veronica had to drag me away.

"That guy is weird!" She practically yelled when we stopped at our classroom door.

I glanced at him. "I like weird. I'm weird." She looked concerned.

She sighed. "Whatever, blondie." She said and walked into our class. I followed after her.

~Time Skip, end of the day. Like, wayyyyy close to the end of the day~

I was standing on the shore, looking at the river. I told Veronica I needed to be alone.

"Enjoying the view?" I hear a voice say. I turn around and see Daniel. "Not gonna lie, you're pretty cute." He was smirking. His brownish-blue eyes were looking into my green ones. The way the sunset around us was illuminating off of him just made him look even more perfect in my opinion. His curls were waving in the wind, I'm sure mine were too.

I smiled. "You're not so bad yourself." He glanced down at the ground, then back at me.

"Well, thank you." He bowed. I laughed at him. He looked up at me. "Cute laugh." I smiled.

"Thanks." I repeated his action & bowed. He smiled at me.

"So, what brings you to Riverdale?" He asked.

"Oh, nothing really," I lied. "Just needed to get away from my life." He nodded.

I found a tree and leaned my back against it. "That's cool." He paused and looked at the ground, then back to me with his hands in his pockets. "Riverdale is a serious town of secrets."
