Y/N's POV
UGH!!! Today has been terrible. My boss was being a jerk my car broke down EVERYTHING has gone wrong and all I want or do is cuddle with my boyfriend, Shawn Mendes.
"Babe I'm home!!!!" I yelled walking through the door
I didn't hear anything. He always comes down to hug me when I get home. So the first that I thought was 'something's not right'
I cautiously walked up the stairs and as I was walking I started to hear quiet noises
No he wouldn't. He wouldn't do that to me. Would he?
I felt a few tears sting at the corner of my eyes as the possibilities of what he could be doing swormed through my head
I made my way to our bedroom door and right before I could turn the handle I heard another woman's voice
Oh please no
I slowly turned the handle and pushed open the door and I saw the one thing I was most afraid of
My boyfriend was sat on our shared bed, kissing another girl
"Shawn, please tell me this isn't real" I spoke up with tears falling down my face
His eyes went wide at the sight of me "Y/N, it's not what it looks like" he tried
He jumped away from the girl as she just sat there smirking. But I was to angry at Shawn to care about her right now.
Shawn took a few steps towards me but I just stepped back
"Shawn how could you do this to me? I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME!!!!" I yelled in anger and slapped him right across the face
"We're over, you jerk" I told him while slipping off the promise ring he got me for our 4 year anniversary and threw it at him.
Not wanting to look at him anymore, I ran out of the house as fast as I could so he wouldn't follow me
I got in my car and started driving as fast as possible with tears clouding my vision and before I knew it everything went black
Shawn's POV
No. This can't be happening. I never wanted to cheat on Angelina but Marisa (that's just a random name feel free to change it if you want) my ex girlfriend, said she would hurt Y/N if I didn't
"GET OUT!!!" I screamed at Marisa
"Oh Shawn, come on" she said touching my arm but I pushed her away
"GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!" I screamed even louder
She didn't say a word all she did was roll her eyes, grab her stuff and walk out the door
Once the door was fully shut. I slowly slid down the wall and let sobs leave my lips
My phone started to ring and I instantly jumped towards it in hopes it was Y/N. But when I saw who it was fear rushed through me. Why would the hospital be calling me?

I pulled up at the hospital and fear and anxiety was coursing through me
I quickly got out of my car and made my way into the hospital and to the front desk
"I need to know where Y/N Y/L/N is" I demanded slamming my hands on the desk
"What's you're relation to the patient?" She asked sweetly
"I'm her boyfriend. Now please tell me where she is" I begged
"Room 305. She's sleeping so please don't wake her up" she said going back to her work
"Thank you" I said rushing down the hall to her room

This is it. The love of my life is on a hospital bed on the other side of this door because of me
I took a long deep breath before slowly turning the door handle. Oh I wish I hadn't done that
There she was laying there lifeless with tubes connected to her body, scratches and bruises scattered all across her arms and legs, and a huge gash across her beautiful face
I slowly walked forward and sat in the chair beside the bed and held her cold, scratched hand
"Angelina, I don't know if you can hear me but I love you and I did what I did to protect you. That girl you saw me with, she was my ex and she told me that if I didn't cheat on you with her then she would hurt you. I realize now that you got hurt even worse than she ever could have hurt you but I promise I'm going to make this right. I'm going to make you the happiest girl on earth because you deserve it. Angelina, you're stars to my moon and the clouds to my sky. I love you baby and I am so sorry for what I did to you" I didn't even realize as I was speaking that tears started to slip down my face. And the whole time I was talking I was looking down at my feet in sorrow and guilt
"Shawn I forgive you" I jumped at the sound of her voice
"I thought you were asleep" I said looking into those beautiful y/e/c eyes that I fell in love with.
"I've been awake since you walked in and at first, I was just pretending to be asleep so you would leave. But now I know the real reason why you did it and I forgive you" she said squeezing my hand
Y/N's POV
I can't believe he did that to protect me honestly it made me feel special. I want to be mad but I just can't.
"You really forgive me?" He asked
"Yes Shawn. I forgive you" I said smiling at him
"I love you so much baby" he said standing up and leaned over kissing my forehead gently
"I love you too" I said kissing his lips
He truly is my knight in black skinny jeans.
