McHanzo - Jus' You, Me, and The Sea

Ch. 11

McCree sold everything in two days and had it all shipped out by morning, enjoying the fact that his bank account was already looking good.
But, he knew a decision like selling the house was going to need to be done soon.
It was Thursday and he'd just called the bank to see how much money he'd get for it.
$75,000 was a lot and Jesse didn't get how it was worth that much until he remembered the cliffs at the back of his property, which apparently held good natural resources.

"Hopefully Han wants tha same thing.." Jesse said and walked into a diner to grab a bite to eat.
After his meal, he went down to the beach for a bit and then home, feeling the old usual emptiness of the day.

Jesse got up early that morning and moved all of the boxes out of the house and his bike from the garage and into a storage unit he'd rented.

Once everything seemed taken care of, Jesse made his way down to the beach.
And since the sun was still ever so slowly peeking over the horizon, no one was out but the fisherman and sailors.
But, no one paid much or any attention to Jesse as he walked towards the far side of the shoreline near the cliffs.
And as soon as he stepped in the water, the red tail came back and he swam under quickly, making sure no one saw him.

He remembered the way to the cove and once he got there, he realized Hanzo never specified what time of day they'd meet up.
Sighing, Jesse fiddled with the bracelet Hanzo gave him and thought about marriage.
"Would that be too soon? It seems like it.." Jesse said to himself and thought about Hanzo again.
His mind wandered and he realized he was daydreaming of the merman again.

Hanzo had practically slept through the two days after laying his egg, his body weak and tired.
Genji brought him food consistently and lied to their father about why Hanzo was bedridden.

And now, on Friday morning while Genji was brushing his green hair, a little, faint tap was heard.
Genji turned and saw the blue egg that Hanzo's tail had surrounded start to shake.
He swiftly swam over to it.
"Hanzo! HANZO! Wake up!" Genji exclaimed in a whisper, shaking his brother.
Hanzo groaned and opened his eyes, then quickly noticed the shaking egg.

Both went silent as the shell broke open and a small baby merperson came out.
Hanzo instinctively cradled it in his arms and watched it quickly fall asleep.
"Genji..its a boy." Hanzo beamed a bright and joyous smile before placing a gentle kiss on the baby's head.
"Brother, I am so happy for you! What are you going to name him?
"Hm...I think..Takeo." (Ta-key-oh)
"Beautiful." Genji said with a smile.

"Relax brother, just go talk to him!" Genji enthused, holding the baby in his arms as Hanzo nervously swam up to the surface at the cove, where Jesse sat.

"Han." Jesse smiled and automatically entered the water and hugged him.
Hanzo hugged back and kissed him before pulling away, the look of worry unable to leave his face.
"What's tha matter, Darlin'?"
"I-..would like to know if you'd enjoy settling down..?"
Hanzo avoided the direct reason he was nervous and asked a question that he needed to know the answer to first.
"Of course, sweetheart! As long as I'm with you, I'm never unhappy.." Jesse answered with a sweet smile.
Hanzo let out a breath.

"Somethin's still botherin' ya, isn't it?"
Hanzo nodded and slowly pulled away from McCree.
"Jesse, that night you and I..mated...and with merman anatomy, I-"
"Yer not suggestin'..." Jesse saw Hanzo's unwavering expression of uneasiness, "Oh my god..I-am I a-"
"Yes, you are.." Hanzo bowed his head.
"I love you so much, baby."

Hanzo looked up, shocked as Jesse began to cry a little.
"Will ya marry me, Hanzo?"
The merman's eyes widened and his heart went faster, "I'd love to."
"Good..cause I've got plans fer our family." Jesse smiled.
"Really?"
"Yeah and it starts with you, me, a beach house and the sea."
"How romantic..."
"Indeed."
"I love you."
"I love ya too, Darlin'."
