McHanzo - Jus' You, Me, and The Sea

Ch. 8

Hanzo opened his eyes slowly and gazed out the entrance of the cave.
At first he was confused, but the memories came flooding back when he felt a warm body pressed against his.
He smiled and turned his head to look at Jesse, seeing the other male was fast asleep.

It was morning and the sunlight glimmered outside of the cave.

Hanzo felt a soreness in his lower back and grunted as he slowly freed himself from Jesse's grasp.
He luckily didn't wake him and exited the cave to look for some food.

A few boats were around, but Hanzo knowingly stayed clear of them and went to a nearby reef.
Many multi-colored fish swam along the coral and plants.
Hanzo eyed them and locked his gaze on a desired target, slowly sneaking up on an unknowing clownfish.

After his meal, Hanzo caught a few other fish and brought them back to the cave.
He didnt know if Jesse would eat them raw like a merman or cook it the way humans do, but Hanzo knew Jesse would probably be even hungrier than he was when he had woken up.
When Hanzo returned, Jesse was awake and a look of worry and sadness was quickly replaced with a relieved smile.

"You thought I deserted you, didn't you?" Hanzo asked, already knowing the answer.
Jesse's smile dimmed, "I jus' didn't know where ya went, darlin'..and I hoped that wasn't tha case."
Hanzo hummed and set the fish down on the fine pebbles.
Then, he pulled McCree into a hug.

Saying nothing, Jesse squeezed his arms lovingly around the other merman.
"And I was thinkin' 'bout stuff while you were gone.." Jesse trailed off and Hanzo could sense something was wrong.
"Such as?" Hanzo asked.
Jesse took in a cool breath and pulled away to look down.

"Ya said the other day that ya had a brother and he's gonna be lookin' fer ya...and.." Hanzo noticed his lover struggling to get the next part out and furrowed his eye brows, becoming worried.
"People who 'know' me back on land will be lookin' fer me...I gotta go back and sort some things out."
Hanzo nodded, knowing they had to part ways, at least for now.

"I understand, but promise me you will be back by the full moon?" Hanzo asked, looking into Jesse's eyes with a pleading stare.
Jesse rubbed his shoulder, "Of course..and when is that?"
Hanzo chuckled and Jesse swore his heart melted at the sound of it, "Friday."
Nodding, Jesse kissed Hanzo lovingly and didn't stop until Hanzo pulled away.

Hanzo lead Jesse out of the cave and to the cove they'd laid at the other day.
"Here," Hanzo handed McCree a bracelet of dark sea shells, "When you come back, this will help."
Jesse didn't question it and put it on his wrist carefully.
"Thank you, Darlin'. Now what landmarks are around here?"
Hanzo glanced around, then thought for a moment, "A fishing dock is to the South, I was near there eariler."
"That's close ta home, so could ya lead me there partner?"
Hanzo smiled a little and took Jesse's hand in his as they swam back out into open water.
