"Here ya go, sugar~ Enjoy~" The waiter said, eyeing Hanzo as he set their plates down.
"Thank you." Hanzo said, being polite.
The waiter smiled and winked at him again before leaving them to eat.Hanzo stared at his food for a minute and then began trying to use a fork.
Jesse, though, was becoming aggravated by the waiter's flirtatious behavior towards Hanzo and began to angrily chomp into his burger.
Taking a small bite of his salmon, Hanzo made a surprised expression when he found its taste delicious and savory.
But, he stopped mid-chew when he glanced up and saw Jesse grimacing as he chewed his food."Is your food not good?" Hanzo asked, becoming concerned, "I can give you some of mine if you would like."
Jesse's eyes locked with Hanzo's and his expression instantly softened, feeling another flutter in his heart.
Hanzo was being so sweet and caring by saying that and Jesse fell more in love with him then and there.
Swallowing, Jesse spoke calmly as he stared at Hanzo lovingly, "Nah, it's good. But thank ya though, darlin'."
Hanzo hesitated, "Are you sure? I do not mind sharing with you, Jesse."
Jesse smiled and took Hanzo's free hand in his, "I'm good, darlin'. Besides, yer food isn't really to my likin'."
That made Hanzo chuckle a little and he slowly went back to eating, comfortable now knowing that Jesse was okay.***
After their meal, the waiter brought the check out but instead of handing it to Jesse, he gave it to Hanzo.
The merman took it with a confused expression and glanced at Jesse.
"I hope I see you again real soon, sugar~ I also left ya a little something in there for later if you're interested~" The waiter said, winking at Hanzo once again before walking away.
Hanzo opened the black receipt folder and saw two papers, one had tiny font on it, but the other had ten numbers and his name written on it.
"Hm, odd...I don't quite understand how ten numbers are going to interest me later..." Hanzo said, completely confused as he gave Jesse the bill and showed him the slip of paper he had recieved.Jesse's anger returned and he quickly snatched the paper from Hanzo's hand, his temper now flaring.
"Jesse?"
Hanzo watched him read the amount that was due and threw some money down on the table.
"Jesse, what is wrong?"
"Time to go."
Hanzo quickly got up and felt Jesse wrap an arm around his waist, keeping him pressed to his side as they walked out.
Jesse then crumpled the paper in his hands and threw it behind him.
"Jesse, are you ok? Did I upset you in some way that I am not aware of?" Hanzo asked, his worried voice making Jesse release a huff.
"I'm fine, sweetheart. Let's go to the beach house."---
